I like these little turboprops. They seem a lot more laid back and less rushed than the big commercial airliners. There's a charm to the little turboprop planes that you don't get in a big jet.

Brilliant video! You got a really nice wing view on a DHC8-200. You're super lucky to fly on it because it's a very rare plane since just Air Greenland has it on their fleet nowadays. If I have a chance, I will fly on a DHC8-200 surely. I'm surprised when I saw the 5 seats in the back of the plane, the configuration looks like the bus' configuration :D. And when you told us the plane was more than 20 years old, I was like: "That's not a funny joke, bro", it's unbelievable because the DHC8-200 livery looks very modern and the cabin looks modern too. Thanks for sharing your interesting and amazing trip report!

Makes me think of Norway and the many red houses and barns. I think red is the traditional color for many homes in Norway, and maybe Belgium and Sweden.

I love the Dash 8's for small hops they are excellent and very safe craft

Now the music in the last part was great. Reminds me of a rainy cold New York City night in a hotel bar. The Hyatt or the Hilton. My favorite hotels. Nice music to fly with hey what's the name of those jazz songs. Also great vid of Greenland. Now if you could fly on the old dash 7 s 4 props love those old gas clunkers.

@@italianprince8858 Yes, they have the Danish citizenship - and Air Greenland is also registered as a Danish Airline as you can see at their registration. Greenland is a country still under the suceranity of Denmark.

I'm watching this Another Air Greenland Trip Report Video I hope they'll end up with more Dash 8's Like the Q300's which can fly futher than the Dash Q200's on both near & far routes. Now That's my favourite turboprops.

Love the Air Greenland livery, I think more airlines should get creative with their liveries.

Goytá F. Villela Jr. balconies are great for many things. We love our balconies. Most people would prefer having a balcony and we do have really nice days where one can enjoy life out on the balcony.

@@julianneheindorf5757, well, I am from tropical Brazil, where most people will avoid a balcony like the plague if the temperature drops below 20ºC. Not that Brazil is invariably hot: it's a very large country with many different climates. In more southerly or higher-altitude parts of Brazil, such cooler temperatures are quite common, and in some highland areas of Southern Brazil -- outside the tropics -- light snowfall can even happen occasionally in winter. Still, at 18ºC most Brazilians start shivering, clattering their teeth, wearing heavy wool sweaters and parkas, and avoiding going outdoors if they can. So, a balcony in Greenland (where even the warmest summer day would probably feel very wintery to us) sounds definitely unusual. We think of balconies as places to wear little clothing and enjoy a refreshing breeze in hot weather ("hot" as in 30-40ºC, which must be unheard of in Nuuk...). Our biological thermostats are adjusted differently, it seems...

Kangerlussuaq is also a base of the Danish Arctic Command (you can see a hangar of it in the background at some picture´s of this video), not only an International Airport for civil aviation. Therefore Kangerlussuaq contains also aircrafts of the Danish Air Force. The Airport was built during the Second World War to hunt German U-Boats, so he was always a military one, too. Btw.: The US Air Force runs a huge base in the most northern part of Greenland, Thule Air Force Base.

A typical flightlevel from Nuuk to Kangerlussuaq is FL190 - And for som reason FL240 Kangerlussuaq to Nuuk

Turboprops will hardly fly higher than FL250 = 25000 feet altitude.

Glad you were able to see Greenland. I would really like you to visit Saint Helena and/or the Falkland Islands! Both in the South Atlantic. Air service to Saint Helena through South Africa. New air service to the Falklands from Sao Paulo. Can also fly to the Falklands from Santiago, Chile.
