It's so true. I rank it behind only the 60's for creative excellence, in every genre. And in a broader sense, yeah, it was like.....we were all definitely happier and less nihilistic - and as you say, less programmed for sure. At lease we'll always have these beautiful songs.

sorry to intervene but it is not a viola.. a viola is just a large violin and is played the same way.. the big instrument was a miniature bass called violoncello (cello).
