When machining grooves with a trimmer using the bit width, it is easier to set up if you can process only the center line of the groove.
For this guide, if you pull only the center line of the groove and apply the guide, you can easily process it without bending it.
It is a simple craft that can be made using only scrap materials.

おおぉガイドレール付きだ便利そう！ 自分はベニヤで作った丸ノコガイドの片側をトリマー用にしてるだけなので、中心線に合わせて…が出来ないんですよね😭 そろそろこういうジグにも手を出す時期なのかも…参考にさせてもらいます！ 防音リフォームも楽しみにしてます😃

日本でも有名なBOCSHのパワートリマーは珍しく日本と同じように四角ですが、基本海外のトリマーやルーターのベースプレートは円形で、マキタも海外向け製品にはわざわざ円形ベースを付けています。これはガイド定規に当てて溝彫りをする際、どの向きでガイドに当てても、常にベースとビットの中心が同じ距離になるほうが、使いやすいからだそうで。Mottoさんの今回の治具は、フェスツール、マキタ、トライトンなどでもトラックソーのレールを利用して使うルーターガイドに似ていますが、アイデアはBORAのWTXルーターガイドと同様の種類ですね。上方向から吸い出せるダストポートが付けられると、この手のものは実に使いやすいです。

コメントありがとうございます！ 丸ベースは便利だと思いますね。 今回はセンターラインで溝加工出来たら便利かなとネットで見たシンプルな物を作って見ました。 僕の場合、6mmビットで長穴加工するので欲しくなりました。 今、考えてるXY軸スライド盤で活躍するかなと思います。
