I find that running around the table 3 time counter clockwise helps too. It has to be counter clockwise though! Then write 'trjicon' on some parchment and burn it then throw the ashes down a freshly dug well...yeah...uh huh...

I saw on the DR920 War Poet handgun the extractor was redesigned so you can do full size screws on both sides. Planning on grabbing a war poet asap.

When I put the battery in I put the month and year on that side of the battery. It lets me know just how long I have left that battery in the unit. I set up my calendar to replace them once a year but sometimes that lapse of paying attention allows those batteries to stay in for two years. When I open it I catch my mistake.

Neither Energizer or Duracell make lithium "watch batteries like the CR2032". Sony and Maxell make most of the batteries in the market and they also manufacture for other brands with their name on it. Energizers have the Made in Japan on the battery. I sell watch batteries and Japan makes the best so as long as it's a Maxell or Sony you are good to go and have a long shelf like of at least 5 years. Also the Chinese brand GP in lab test performed very close to Sony and Maxell so they are also a good choice.

I wonder have any other electricians out there done the lazy move by pulling a couple 6-32's from a switch cover and just snipped one down to size using wire strippers with the built in screw shears.

Hi Jon. I called trijicon once to ask about locktite on the screws and they told me no because of the possibility of getting locktite into the channel where the extractor plunger rides.

While looking at the type 1 RMR and hearing they have connection problems you showed me the plate. Would you think that the "dimple" in that plate should go up and now down. Up to add more pressure to the battery. Putting it down against the slide does nothing for battery tightness. Your paper did that job. Ask around and see if that "dimple" is supposed to go up against the battery.

Energizer batteries don't take shock very well and deform very easy. They are inconsistently sized which doesn't help with the battery connectivity. Duracells have a much better track record and qc.
