USPSA A-Class Production shooter here. I shoot G34 and have done this drill 1,000s of times over a 3 year period and have broken a firing pin doing this drill. I’d recommend to use a dummy round that has that rubber primer to hit the firing pin on. The tiny portion of the firing pin tip that comes out of the hole sheered clean off.

Thank you so much for doing this series. I was looking at those expensive dry fire systems, and these videos really helped me avoid spending money on stuff I didn't need, which means more money towards ammo and actual training.
LOVE the idea of using fully weighted dummy rounds! Just ordered some. Learn something new every day.
The question people always ask is, if you’re using the top dot as the primary, why hinder yourself with an lpvo and not just use a 2-10 of some sort?
Definitely can. Been waiting for the leupold 2-10 reticles to get something I like
The camera angle in the red dot window is epic stuff. Looking forward to more of this serious Thanks for the diagnostics ! Real helpful. Any thoughts on horizontal deviation to the right? Trying to clean that up in my dryfire (Right handed shooter)
that’s not what scope shadow is
Loving this dry fire series man! I greatly appreciate the knowledge transfer. Hope this series continues.
Always love your content, drop videos more often please & Where can I buy those small cardboard targets on your wall?
You can get them on Amazon or Ben steoger pro shop
Giggidy.
For an LPVO and a piggyback red dot, do you have a preferred AR15 buttstock? Deciding between the b5 sopmod and the magpul CTR
@@peterkim2481 doesn't matter. Both are the same height. The slopes in the sopmod may help or hinder you depending on your preferences/anatomy.
Moondog Swift Ocular Adjustment Cap (SOAC) Mini for PVS-14 style NVG’s may be a better, more cost effective alternative to the Tarsiers. They thread on, have screw on sacrificial lens easy to replace, and the cap ring simply rotates to adjust. No throw arm. Sturdy and very good quality for $55. Also, comes with plastic lens cap to protect sacrificial lens.
Spec Train code didn’t work?
Weird. I've had a few people already use it and it worked. Try it one more time. KINETIC
@@KineticConsultingah gotcha, may have been a brain fart on my end but I swear the code was spelled “KINETC” in the video description previously. Thanks!
The paper shim is genius
If possible, can you post exercises with the timer.
@@InkwellFoto they are coming
That's what i was going to ask too.
Great video
You mentioned the mantis, but what are your thoughts on the dry fire mag?
@@Spanishproject123100 I don't agree with it since it doesn't actually simulate my trigger. It simulates the dry fire mag.
For what it's worth, i prefer the dry fire mag to the shim. 🤷♂️
I purchased a Glock blowback BB gun to simulate but the trigger pull is really different. That’s what I like about the Blackbeard. The new set fire mags come with additional springs to get closer to the Glock trigger I may try one out
🥇👈🏽
Good video. Best investment I made for dry practice has been the dry fire mag and airsoft guns. I can definitely tell I track sights and dots way easier after spending time with the airsoft guns
My issue is proper technique so I don't develop bad habits.
Your oil/lube in your cleaning kit, is it non-flammable as those I know are not allowed per TSA regs
Yes, as I don't want flammable lube on a firearm anyways.
Yey......Duffys back!
Good call taking batteries out of flashlight. I had a light come on coming home from the range one day and almost started a fire in my bag.
Also timing yourself might have some factor, which allows you to get faster rounds down range to reaquire the target matters.
Is there a benefit of flying with ammo, opposed to buying ammo in the state you’re going to train in?
@@Dlewis77777 if you buy ammo in the pallets like I do, yes. Also making sure you have it and it doesn't get lost or isn't what you ordered is nice.
great video
That's a sick shirt! Where'd you get that?
@@WhoopsWrongButton target, like 10-15 years ago lol
@@KineticConsulting If there’s a heaven, I hope they have an airworthy Millenium Falcon there.
Have you ever experienced while checking in that the person says the large pelican isn’t a “gun case.” Has happened to me multiple times and they couldn’t wrap their head around that the case doesn’t need to be the size of the gun. Been almost denied checking it in and a huge hassle.
Even with the policy pulled up.
I have. I usually bring up their policy that doesn't say gun case, it says hard sided case.
Question: How are you able to bypass the 11lbs max for ammo? I've been hit with that before.
I don't tell them I have ammo. I just check my clothing bag. Remember the airline has the restriction, but can't check inside the regular duffle. TSA has no such restriction as long as it's safely packaged and they are the only ones that can look in your bag.
@@KineticConsultinggreat thinking, thank you!
What is that cool lens cover for your monocular?
@@Nikkihoffmann314 just a butler creek scope cap
last year ish i was looking to replace my old 1650 found your vidoe on the 1615 air. Havent regretted it at all love my 1615 air and it saves me the overweight baggage fee depending on what class im headed to. I didnt realize how much weight i was giving up using the 1650 compared to 1615
Oh man, big difference
@KineticConsulting it's like half the weight expensive yes but hell like 4 classes and it evens out for fees. Glad I spotted the video I was worried about hem being as tough as the old 1650
Great video. Two quick questions: 1) Do you still hide a tracker inside? 2) What liner is that you are using in the bottom half of the Pelican? Thanks!
@@karimmanassa9634 nope. I just keep it in the pouch you saw and the liner is linked in the description
@@KineticConsulting Thank you.
Great vid, very informative
After a year how has this held up? Thinking about doing it with my zero9 magazine pouch for my duty belt
Really well. I still have one setup like this as well as 2 other folks that did it that haven't contacted me about it that I made this video for.
Thoughts on different color med pouch then the belt? Curious your thoughts on having it stand out. I have a black belt and deciding on whether I should get a different color pouch.
That's not a bad call. If you don't have any requirements for colors due to policy or uniformity.
Which adjustable irises do you use?
Is Matbock and some Amazon ones
Literally, the only review I care about! Keep up the good work Mocha Bear
An Appalachian trail entrance is 10 minutes from my house. I'm tempted to try and hike it when my rvm-14 arrives on Monday, but I'm also a little scared because there is some steep terrain there...
Them patches ain’t foolin me, I know what in there.
Something that helped me decide if 1 moa would be too small or not, was my experience with Eotech EXPS holographic sights. The center dot on those is 1 moa, so just envision that on an rmr on your firearm to get an idea.
I have been looking for these lower mounts for a long time and just now finding them
Funny that I have not received notifications for your content in the last 6 ~ 8 months... which is concerning. Please advise as to any content in that time frame... ? Thank you my friend. Respectfully, Seth
i prefer even red dot at a more precise cheek well position, thanks for the video, will defiantly go with a lower mount.
Have you gotten to demo the BE Meyers DAGIR yet?
Do you use the IPD stops?
Pretty sold on MIL, can get exact dialing in, adapt to any setup, and seems like with even a little bit of testing you can even "intuit" the MIL to finding your hold points and act like a BDC even without precise measurements.
Why even have a front post iron sight anyway? Your running a 1.93 mount with that t2.......so.......you see what I'm getting at right yo
Agreed. I threw it on there to show the laser stuff.
Good job, very helpful. Thank you!
