USPSA A-Class Production shooter here. I shoot G34 and have done this drill 1,000s of times over a 3 year period and have broken a firing pin doing this drill. I’d recommend to use a dummy round that has that rubber primer to hit the firing pin on. The tiny portion of the firing pin tip that comes out of the hole sheered clean off.

Thank you so much for doing this series. I was looking at those expensive dry fire systems, and these videos really helped me avoid spending money on stuff I didn't need, which means more money towards ammo and actual training.

Moondog Swift Ocular Adjustment Cap (SOAC) Mini for PVS-14 style NVG’s may be a better, more cost effective alternative to the Tarsiers. They thread on, have screw on sacrificial lens easy to replace, and the cap ring simply rotates to adjust. No throw arm. Sturdy and very good quality for $55. Also, comes with plastic lens cap to protect sacrificial lens.
