Rhodesia was lost politically, not through those who defended it. The Rhodesian army men and woman, black and white were not to be messed with. Statistics numbers show they were far superior to those against them. If the world has listened and not pointed fingers at us trying to distract what they had done in other countries, it would still be the wealthiest country in Africa. Mugabe's win was Rhodesia's loss, to all civilians.

There are many ways armies loss wars, it's unfortunate the Rhodesian Army was never familiar with Sun Tsu's Art of War.but to cut the long story short, That Army lost its county, flag etc to the extent Rhodesia,it's Army and Flag and name doesn't exist anymore except in tt memory of it's disgruntled former service men.who still make noise that they won every battle but lost the war, due to the several factors, they blame for their defeat. It was a resounding defeat nevertheless.

A political defeat, not a military one. If you’re going to quote Sun Tzu then you must also consider Von Clausewitz’s axiom that war is an extension of politics and that the corollary, that politics are an extension of war is also true. The Rhodesian Army was probably well aware that they could not be, and were not, defeated in the field. The defeat of Rhodesia as a political entity cannot be conflated with a “resounding defeat” of the Rhodesian armed forces. At best, and with vastly superior numbers, Zimbabwean nationalists, achieved only military stalemate. Whereas Hitler attempted to deflect the comprehensive defeat of the German military in the field as a political defeat at home, you have attempted to portray the political defeat of Rhodesia as a defeat of the Rhodesian armed forces in the field. He was wrong just as you are wrong.

Barney tsikai we were never defeated militarily we where betrayed by Britain and America you may laugh Rhodesia is no more but look at Zimbabwe collapsed economy & currency starving population riddled with hiv relying on food aid hand outs from the hated whites and despotic murderer for a president, take a good look at the soldiers in this clip 80% of our armed forces were black! This was a war against communism portrayed as a war of white against black.

Rhodesia wasn't Fascist, or one party. And it was never militarily defeated, it was politically defeated. You can't just cry your eyes out and cry "das wacist!! Waaa!" whenever someone talks about it.
