These tribute videos to pop-up headlights needed to be made! - Nice one. 😁 - I was fascinated by them as a kid, I suspect because they made an event out of the relatively mundane action of switching light bulbs on... and of course they were synonymous with the lion's share of all the cool cars as well. I was sorry to see the industry motivated to turn their back on them.

I liked the pop up headlights and was kind of disappointed when automakers discontinued them. The one that kind of got me was on the C4 Corvette. I thought those were needlessly complicated and could have been simplified. Also I think that might be a Chrysler Imperial Frank Sinatra Edition at 2:27. Those are kind of rare now.

Very nice, shucks, I wish I would have known about this. I"m around the car scene in AZ, and I could have gotten a few more for you. But I don't do social media for my own sanity. It's very interesting how these guys hid their headlights, it really was a statement. Today I see a lot of cars with angry expressions, they must be upset they can't have cool headlights. We can thank regulators for the pop-ups going away.

Really! I have family in AZ. What are some of the cars around there that have pop ups? Doing a Volume 3 of this video would be difficult, but I would consider it if I could get enough cars. And regarding social media, dude, I totally hear you. Facebook is just f'ing awful! I try to avoid it like the plague.

@@DtRockstar1 It would be pretty hard to top your area. But the Phoenix area has a huge car scene, mainly because the climate is really good for owning cars. You have to take care, the sun will do a lot of damage. But you see a lot of old cars driving around, and even more are in private collections. The car season goes through about October through May, some events are year round. Most of us take the summer off, or head to events out of state. As far as getting pop-ups it depends who brings what, that's always a surprise. We used to have a huge monthly car event, that all sorts of cars would show up. But it got too huge, and was shut down. We prefer the small events, where you can actually see the cars. :)
