Munna Bai MBBS was remade in Tamil as "Vasool Raja MBBS". "A Wednesday" from Hindi was also remade in Tamil by Kamal sir and Mohanlal sir. We too enjoyed it. Drishyam - Mohanlal sir's movie was remade by Kamal sir in Tamil as Papanasam. But Sadma, Appu Raja and all others are actually made in Tamil first.

Yes Sadma is a remake of moondram pirai and appu raja is a hindi dubbed version of aboorva sagodharargal

"Indian" movie (Hindustani in Hindi and Bharateeyudu in telugu) was a tremendous hit in India in 1996 and the graphics, prosthetic makeup ..Even now Bollywood cannot make such wonderful movie. Appu raja movie which was in 1989 was a great experiment and till now nobody couldn't replicate this character. Hats off to kamal sir.

Munnabhai is purely a hindi movie. Rajkumar hiranis movies are original movies. Kamal liked the script and did this movie in tamil. In telugu chiranjeevi did it.
