At times, the melancholy Carl’s memory brings me is actually painful. When he sings Darlin’ he “is” always so sharply dressed and at the turn of his head, the muscles in his neck prove such a great looking man, that I lose my breath. With is groomed beard and hair, the better he looked, the older he grew! Holy cow! talk about a heart throb!

In response to Smedley Butler. I totally agree that Carl was WAAAY underrated as a guitarist. One of his early influences was Dick Dale. In some of the Beach Boys early songs he emulated his style and did a fantastic job.
