Moodswings in Order was on REPEAT for every commute to work and home for MONTHS. LITERALLY. I love this album so much. I think we've already discussed it, but his music often expresses his experiences with bipolar disorder. The eye is MITO's (his manic self) and I think it's supposed to represent how he sees things differently as MITO.

I am an army, but also a huge fan of DPR Ian (I went to a DPR concert last year, front row, one of the best concerts ever) and I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. He is an actual artist, just like BTS. And what we all have in common is that we love good music and people who are talented and work hard. They actually know each other! (Christian Yu aka DPR Ian and BTS members) since he used to be an idol back in the day. DPR Live was invited to Hobi's listening party as well. So, of course you wanna explore a bit more and I'm here for it. More please!

DPR IAN FUCK YEAH okay so!! He has 2 albums! Moodswings In This Order and Moodswings In To Order. They are absolute masterpieces and i think it's good to listen to them in chronological order since it tells a story and the mvs are kinda connected. Edit: he's releasing a new album this coming october!! Peanut butter and tears is one of the singles for this new album! The next single will come during this month we're so spoiled omg can't wait!! The instrument that plays in the end of Calico is a bass! He actually plays it when he sings this song in their concerts. I love DPR Ian with my whole heart i cant even put into words how much he amazes me and what his music makes me feel. I was lucky to see them live last november during a crazy hard time and i cant explain what i felt when i saw and listened to him but I'll just remember it forever !! Ian has bipolar disorder and he has a very artistic way to represent all of this through his music based on his own experience and acceptance of who he is as a person.He really goes into depth on his bipolar disorder, his history in Kpop, his thought process of his creations and songs, and he really explains the story of mito on the Zach Sang Show interview. MITO is the character he made who represents his dips. In this alternate universe, there's this god named mr. insanity (ian) and he created mito and he's the SERAPH in that world. In our world, Seraph is the highest rank in Christian angelology. However, Mito got greedy and was jealous of all the other creations, and felt he was the only one who deserved love. Mr insanity saw that darkness and banished him, so MITO felt betrayed and resented everything that Mr. insanity was and vowed to infest his every creation. This world is lan's mind dealing with bipolar disorder hence "moodswings in this order (mito 1) moodswings in to order (mito 2)"

yes louie i know exactly how you feel 20:34 the way ian makes his music makes us feel overwhelmed in good way when listening to it, there are so many things to pay attention to and everything sound so pleasant to the ears, every choice he makes is correct like how can someone be this good? also about the mvs: yeah there is a story going on and it also intertwines with dpr live's mvs. but what i can tell you confidently is that ian's mvs portraits the story of mito (a fallen angel), mr insanity (the creator of mito) and ian himself and how these characters are a representation of him when dealing with his bipolar disorder (the songs also are talking about his experience living this way) he has only 2 albums out by now. if you are interested there's a short documentary talking about the 1st album titled "memories in disorder". for the second album i believe the best place to go is "inside the mind of dpr ian" by jre but it's quite long.

I love your BTS videos but I also love that you explore the whole world of music and see what interests you enough to dive into it more! his music is amazing ! it is so raw, and fun in the most heart-wrenching way (he loves a cute little funky beat with heartbreaking lyrics lol), and SO insanely creative!!!!! he is part of a music collective - DPR- and they were on tour this year and WHEW ! let me tell you, both him and another performer of the team, DPR LIVE, are insane live. IAN's segment was so theatrical, so well-crafted, so mesmerising, truly such a beauty of artistic expression in flesh to witness. they all sounds incredible live, too !!!!

There is voice changes in his music and his music videos,,,,when he talks normally it's lan but when it goes low it's Mito speaking. All the music videos are linked and create one big storyline (MIITO movie part 1 -> So Beautiful -> No Blueberries -> Welcome To The Show -> Nerves-> Scaredy Cat. I think MIITO movie part 1 is like an origin story for Mito). And also one of his alter ego is Mr.Insanity,,he was in the end of the MIITO movie and he is in the peanut butter&tears mv ,,,and Ian mentioned him on his last album with a song called Mr.Insanity.

You have to listen to his discography and MV's from the beginning. Christian Yu (aka: Rome - from his kpop days, and now DPR IAN - with his Dream Perfect Regime partners) Before he released his own album first album MITO: Mood Swings In This Order he was/is the primary Director/Visual for DPR. He plays the Bass also. His work is very personal. He has been very honest about his mental state and how he has been diagnosed as Manic/Bipolar. The story line revolves around MITO his Manic/other self. MITO has been evolving in the story line as being an archangel type, it's deep and I will most likely butcher it. 2 albums: I suggest you listen to it in chronological order. Same for the MV's MITO, MIITO, and he just announced a new album releasing soon.
