LONG COMMENT INCOMING lol dpr isn't a group like what i think you thought he meant. it's a group of separate artists, like a record label, often called a "collective". ian is one of the founders of this collective in which they have other musical artists (e.g. dpr live), stylists, directors, etc. something special about ian is that he does directing and video editing for dpr so a lot of (if not ALL) of the cool video effects you see are from him as well as the concept and shots in the video since he's a director. he uses visual arts and music to portray his mental state a lot of the time. he has type 1 bipolar disorder and has made characters that represent him in different states (e.g. mito to represent his manic lows, mr insanity to represent his hypomania). his creative process always begins with a character or a visual first before the song is even made, even if that song isn't going to have a music video. you were right, this song is largely about youth. the "my tooth's been wiggling for years" line is meant to show how he (or this part of himself) has not matured or is not ready to grow up. hence having a baby tooth that won't fall out even after years. there's more meaning to the song but i won't sit here tirelessly explaining my interpretation of every line lmao. you should definitely check out more of his other stuff, he's honestly so underrated considering how much time and effort he puts in as a song writer, performer, director and video editor. he deserves so much love for the way he uses his mental illness as a way to make art and let his imagination run freely. he's really inspirational and just makes really good music on top of that.

i just know that you guys would like MIITO MOVIE so much,,,All his music videos are linked and create one big storyline (MIITO movie part 1 -> So Beautiful -> No Blueberries -> Welcome To The Show -> Nerves-> Scaredy Cat. I think MIITO movie part 1 is like an origin story for Mito). Ian has bipolar disorder and he has a very artistic way to represent all of this through his music based on his own experience and acceptance of who he is as a person. There is voice changes in his music and his music videos,,,,when he talks normally it's lan but when it goes low it's Mito speaking. And also one of his alter ego is Mr.Insanity,,he was in the end of the MIITO movie and he is in the peanut butter&tears mv ,,,and Ian mentioned him on his last album with a song called Mr.Insanity. all his works are great but I think you will like the MIITO MOVIE the most,,,, a video created with previews(kinda) of 4 songs. It really has movie quality,,,I'll wait for your reaction video 🫶🏻

Why do people assume an amazing piece of digital art, in this case IAN's drawing of Mr. Insanity over his own still frame, is an AI generation? Couldn't it, instead, be the work of a highly skilled artist and the amazing tools at his disposal through Adobe PhotoShop? He's even made videos collaborating with them and talking about how their technology is what makes all these imagined worlds possible.
