My god these dudes are from Germany and are hitting with more pure American soul than anything we got on the pop stations. I am not normally the "I hate pop and hip hop" guy because I am fine with plenty of it, but as a dude raised on Jazz, Folk, Acapella, Metal, Rock, etc, this is where its at.

I’ve watched about 12-15 reaction videos of this song just to see how people react to his voice and yours was by far the best. Never caught that transition through the window either!

Some context on toms diner: the guys in the first room are AnnenMayKantereit (Christopher Annen, Henning may, Severin Kantereit) plus frederik Rabe (lead singer of giant rooks), the guys in the second room are giant rooks, who are then joined by the rest of AMK. That’s also why the sound of the song changes when the room changes. They basically keep to their respective sounds and do two covers in one. Can’t get you out of my head is AMK with parcels, an Australian band (but they live in Berlin). The song is originally by Kylie minogue. On roxanne they are joined by another German band, milky chance.

As someone who was born in 1970. So fukn excited that your generation is experiencing music made organically. And you, my friend, are sharing with your tribe, EXCELLENT. I saw stings with the police in concert several times. Amazing sting who wrote it. Said it was him that in studio accidentally sat down on piano striking atonal chord that made him laugh. It was only really made popular when it was sung by Eddie Murphy in Beverly hills cop 1982. I think it's amazing that Sting composed music with Shaggy in 2018. Track is just one lifetime.... you should check out original Roxanne by the police, and then his new stuff released an album 2020

This is two German bands. If I remember correctly, the band in the first room is Giant Rooks and the lead singer is the one with the smoother voice. AnnenMayKanteriet is the second one. The lead singer, Henning May, is the one that sounds like he smokes like 20 cigars a day and gargles with rocks. Both groups are IMMENSELY talented but AnnenMayKanteriet for the win!!! (The way Henning holds his hands used to make me think there was something wrong with them but he plays piano almost a beautifully as he sings!!!)

You probably grew up with Shrek movies so Tom had a song called Little Drop of Poison, but for some reallly epic Tom Waits you want to go vintage with it and check out Chocolate Jesus (live if you can get it ... Tom live is just always better), Clap Hands (this is sampled in a lot of stuff) and for something pretty with that whiskey soaked, trampled-by-an-angry-mob, buried and dug back up voice of his doing things real prettyful there's Ol' 55. If you do check him out (not sure he'd be someone you'd review but you love music so i think you'd dig him!) can i be selfish and getcha to pop back in the thread and let me know whatcha thought?
