Unfortunately Pakistani society gets portrayed negatively because of the attitudes of our ruling classes. The common mans voice is not heard anywhere near the seats of power. In 1947 the colonialists left, but the colonisation remained, in the hands of our new domestic colonionalists. Pakistan has such limited economic opportunity, then where it is present, it's going to be men going for it. Men don't need to take time out to be mothers, there is no maternity pay, or structures that would support a woman during that time. Similarly law and order exists only for those who can afford it. Women are vulnerable in the work place to sexual abuse, unfortunately a lot of Pakistani women experience being bothered in public too, because the culprits know there will be no legal action against them, it'll disappear when the police start asking for bribes to write reports and investigate etc. Because of this women don't go out as much and when they do, tend to go in groups or with families. Not all men are bad, the bad apples are few in our society, but they are protected and it makes life harder for the rest of us. The same Pakistani women when they're in more modern urban environments or go abroad are successful women in the workplace.

Actually many Indian restaurants in the West are actually owned and run by Bangladeshis. Since people know the name of India more, they simply chose the strategy of running it under the umbrella name Indian food lol. Don't know where you live, but just ask at the Indian or Pakistani restaurant if they have Bangladeshi food, some might. In fact, I used to go to an Indian restaurant regularly in Istanbul, which was owned and run by Pakistanis and their head chef was Bangladeshi. So it's basically a mixed pot. However, for traditional Bangladeshi dishes like fish and bhorta etc (not common dishes like biriyani) you have to go to a Bangladeshi one. Or may be ask at your nearby Indian restaurant, they might know one nearby.

I am sorry if I am wrong; that didn't look like Ilish! It looked more like a Tuna! Ilish fish has a lot of thin bones! You need to be very careful when eating Ilish. 2. Panta Bhat (Watered Rice) needs to be mixed well (by your hand) with salt first. Did you already mix it for them? 3. The Beef Kala Bhuna you served was not Beef Kala Bhuna. That was just Beef Bhuna. She was elected twice, we have women in our politics, but the problem with our politics is that the people that are in positions of power are from large powerful fuedal families. In some places they could get a tree elected if they wanted to - because they control large rural parts of the country through fear and intimidation. Meanwhile their children are educated at Oxford and Harvard and are worldly people, running liberal political parties. What we don't have in our politics is the voice of the common man. Imran Khan was the closest we have got to it, and even he's from a wealthy background, an international sport star etc.

Loved this video! One thing I would like to clarify is roshogollah and roshmalai are different desserts. So the man who said it’s different from Pakistan roshmalai is because it isn’t roshmalai at all. Roshmalai originated in Cumilla, Bangladesh as well, so even if it’s a part of your national cuisine, it cannot be called Pakistani nor Indian, but Bangladesh or just roshmalai/rasmalai (: You don’t see people saying Bangladeshi or Pakistani Biriyani, just biriyani as a whole. I can't believe they didn't like Rosogolla, because it is the best thing you can find in both Bengal. The video presenter should give them more insight about it, they expected it as Roshmalai( we also have this which are creamier, sweeter and heavier)while Rosogolla is light , less sweet , refreshing and you can actually eat a lot of Rosogolla in one time while roshomalai, golapjamun can make you feel sick if you eat them a lot.

I believe I've seen videos from this channel before. BUT, I've never binged a channel from another country other than the US. You guys are awesome! I am an American that loves different foods from all over the world, especially from Mediterranean countries. I do also love Indian food, and would love to try Pakistani food!

Last week when they tried brisket, I was thinking what if they would try Bangladeshi food ever. To all my surprises it happened!!! I have been watching your channel for quite a long time. Those tribal people are simple and humble. I also appriciate representing some positive sites of Bangladesh.
I wish, many more Bangladeshi episode will be arranged in future.. New fan of this channel!
