Triangular Field at Devil's Den, Gettysburg PA
5 July 2010: An late afternoon stroll through the notoriously haunted 'Triangular Field' at Devil's Den in Gettysburg National Park. No spectral remainders of the 1st Texas or 124 New York were in evidence... only a father & son 'ghost hunting' team from Maryland.

I love Gettysburg. Most powerful place i have ever been. Very emotional.
Thanks pard for sharing your walk in the park ... peaceful contrast to the past. *LIKED* the video
Whether people believe this is real or not, go visit Gettysburg. You will definately feel the ghosts of the past there. It is one of the creepiest feelings you will ever get just standing on that battlefield.

I believe it. But not all are creepy. Some are just as interested in you, as you are of them. Been going for years and every time I walk Culps hill there is one that walks with me, I feel him, but not intimidated. I can go back once or twice a day and just like clock work he visits me on my walk. I dont know who he is but I can certainly tell he is the same one, starting from Spangler Springs, till I get back to my car.
I Liked the Quiet Walk..Good Job..was just at Gettysburg for the 150th anniversary..Wasnt so quiet during battle..these sounds are Peaceful!
i'd love to see someone leave a camera covering the whole field and several evp recorders overnight and see what happens. cause its always 1 or 2 ghosts you see never like an entire volley line
Frame number 1:41 that's where you need to look closely to the right behind the bush he goes into the woods.

I saw it too. Fake or real?
Long walk for sure! It’s a big field, bigger than the Wheatfield and no one hardly ever walks down there. They cleaned the Triangular Field up real nice recently, maybe with a prescribed burn. Looks a bit different all cleared out.
Funny you mention it because you're absolutely right. First time I visited there I heard cannon fire. Sometimes so close you could feel the earth rumble. Then I heard rifle shots in distance and what sounded like multitudes of men shouting as in a skirmish. I thought the park had speakers in the bushes and trees. I went another time with friends to same spot asking if they can hear what I described earlier, To my surprise, they thought I was crazy and couldn't hear anything! I freaked out!

@Terry Weinhold Sheeeeit I wish I was on crack at time. It would explain the surreal-ness of that whole situation
Yeah, saw it at 1:41 ghost going into the woods as camera turned the corner

right you are! i had to re run it a few times but it is there!
Legend has it if you take a picture from the bottom to the top the pic will not take. I can say beyond a shadow do a doubt thats true. Happened to me twice two different times. But I have taken them and it has worked. Time it didnt was July 2 around 5 pm.
I just watched a video taken in this field from 2006 and it looked nothing like it does today. The last part of your video as you are staring out across the bottom of the field and across this was still woods. I guess the park service cut down the trees to put the field back to the way it looked during the battle. I've been trying for a while to figure exactly where the Underwoods shot their cool video.

Yup, the Park Service is doing just what you said...clearing trees and brush to make the battlefield look closely like it did during the historic battle. I was there four days ago and I heard one of the tour guides mention it when we were standing on Little Round Top and looking down at Devil's Den.
There was a father & son shooting video there at the same time. You can see the father very briefly in one of the frames.
This person was at the triangular field that is across the road from Devil's Den.
visit sach's bridge and or go to on a ghost hunt with gpa witch is in gettysburg you'll feel something then. especially sach's bridge may not see it with your eye, but you'll feel something
Sorry musket fire at 3.28 not 3.38
The 15th Georgia was here also: my great, great granduncle, Sgt. Thomas L. Ware (Company-G) was killed here around 8pm on July 2nd.
Yes right before you turn the corner he's there.....
The triangular field is adjacent to Devil's Den. It is most easily found by locating the wooden gate you see in the beginning of the video.
I love Gettysburg
My goodness but there are birds, birds, birds!
oAo what was that flew out of the woods angle or smoke
i dont know where u were but that wasnt Devils Den. Devils den was the rocky outcropping 100 yards or so from lil round top where cofederate sharpshooters took positions to assault the Union on top of lil round top.
Did you notice you might have a soldier on a horse to the right he moves quickly he's in your footage 👻
Who is that walking into the woods after passing wooden gate
Sounds like a musket firing at 3.38.
needs to be manicured as it was back then....I don't think it looked like this in 1863..but, I could be wrong...
