    Trex arms gives you a discount if you do your duty to carry everyday, pledge to legally carry, and promise to protect yourself and others. Now if that isn’t American, I don’t know what is 🇺🇸🦅

    In regards to the pricing, if anyone needs justification... here it is: "Buy once, cry once!" OR "Buy NICE or buy TWICE!". Especially for something that's gonna be carrying a firearm that may potentially save your life... (or anything really relating to firearms/tools being used for self defense) GET QUALITY SHIT. DO NOT get UNCLE BOB'S/MIKE'S Leather holsters from your local outdoor sporting goods stores... they are garbage and sometimes even dangerous.

    Agreed on the price topic. I wish price wasn’t even factored in when comparing the 2 models. Certain things are important so I think in a world where everyone is walking around with a thousand dollar cell phone in their pocket, the price of a holster should be irrelevant. Great video!

    On the topic of belts, my "gun belt" is 1.5" wide, but the Tier 1 holsters are equipped with 1.75" clips... so there's room for slop. I'm wondering if that slop is acceptable for most or if I should either get a holster with 1.5" clips instead or a belt with 1.75" clips... Thoughts and what do you wear?

    I honestly find that for me, appendix carry is way more comfortable than any other method of carry. I think the only method I haven't tried yet is belly band and shoulder holster carry. Plus, it feels more comforting knowing that my gun is on the front of my body where I can easily control access, instead of my 4-5 o'clock where it feels a little more vulnerable. Finally, it's so much more comfortable when driving compared to hip carry that I can't stand carrying on my hip while I'm in my car anymore. Not to mention that with AIWB in my car, I can actually access my gun without having to take 5 seconds to do all sorts of gymnastics lol great video, I can't say it helped me make up my mind, but I can now rest assured knowing that no matter which one of these I choose, I'm going to be very happy with it and it will be money well spent.

    What are you considering for belly band? I'm brand new to edc so picking holster now but have seen belly band options and since I wear gym clothes a lot I've wondered whether this a separate "holster" altogether or which company makes a solid AIWB holster/band combo.

    “The sidecar has been the sidecar the whole time” Truth! I love trex arms but it’s like they refuse to adopt any changes to the sidecar that didn’t come from their brains in house. For instance they say they don’t do a Flex sidecar because of lack of consistency or keeping it together during force on force but it’s been my experience (and the experience of a lot of other people) that that isn’t necessarily the case. imo they don’t adopt the idea because A. It’s a pride thing for them and B. It’d be costly production wise. But there’s definitely a market for it and a lot of people are switching to tier 1 (myself included) and they’re definitely shooting themselves in the foot with all that. Edit: I’d like to add that if Trex arms had a flex sidecar I 100% would’ve bought it over a tier 1 because I love Trex arms as a company and there are other features on the sidecar that I like over my axis slim. That flex center is just such a game changer that ultimately it’s something I couldn’t ignore and it’s definitely what drove me to switch.

    I, personally, don't like Glock's ergos-- never have, no matter the model. But I'd be in denial to say they arent the benchmark for every pistol out there. So... #1) I'm glad your doing your comparisons using a Glock cause we're all familiar with it's size & weight-- For now, I *still* carry a PPS which is easier to conceal than a 19. (Although, I'm thinking about 'upgrading' to a duty-size Smith). So, I know your opinions will probably be more than valid, at least for me #2) All the holsters you're comparing here are good, quality holsters that you just cant go wrong with. I, for one, am glad to hear your 'real world' input-- even if a little biased (I dont really think so, tho)

    Love my Tier 1, but to let other CZ P10 F owners know. The Axis for the P10 F with a TLR-1 does not work lol. I believe it could work without a TLR-1. It makes the holster just long enough to stab you when you sit. Granted I’m the dummy trying to EDC a P10 F with a giant flashlight on it. No grudge on Tier 1, super high quality!

  • @Drewski423
    @Drewski423 Жыл бұрын

    The sidecar 2.0 is leaps and bounds better than the earlier models. The hinge system they put in the middle really helped. I run a trex, but I’ll tell you who else makes a good holster and that is Black Arch. The Black Arch Entrada is a really nice sidecar style. Definitely pay the money. I bought a tier 1 Xiphos (waited 4 weeks on the stupid thing) and hated it. Could not get comfortable with it. I feel like you need to spend the money on a sidecar style holster if you want the max amount of comfort.

    love the reviews. great job as always. I need to do a video review, but i simply have no time (2 kids, 1 on thr way). Been running the T1C AXIS Elite for a few months now. When researching before that purchase, I could not find ONE real world review. One video did a good job showing patterned and solid color shirts, another discussed seated and driving, but no transitions. Someone should discuss - print from sitting position, transition from standing to seated and vice versa...maybe more as a technique and tips video than product review. So for your viewers, here is my situation. Im 5'8", 170lbs, semi-fit with a bit of a dad bod (wee spare tire gut) I have discovered SO much variance in printing with regard to different shirts and belt tension. Now, with the T1C, I can nearly completely conceal a P365 w/12 rnd spare mag under my slight spare tire while wearing a fitted "athletic" fabric shirt AS long as I really crank that klick belt down! HOWEVER, during sit-stand-sit transitions, I WILL print and must adjust/pull the shirt to avoid the "cling". Patterned button down shirts with moderate belt tension is my easiest and best conceal/comfort combo. ALMOST ZERO print in most body positions, even when twirking. just kidding, no twerking here. just plinking. As far as the T1C, they offer the UltiClips as an upgade. I thought they would be awesome. Maybe for those who have specific needs kr dont use a belt, they might work. I found since the clips attach to the pants, the hoster and it's claw would ride low, reducing purchase so much I could never get a consistent draw. The pistol grip was basically buried against my belt which is not forgiving nor flexible. I opted to install the standard clips which fit this particular belt so well, they actuall clip onto it. It is a phenomenal set up. Hope the additional viewpoint helps somebody!

    One of the biggest differences for me being 5’6 slim build was how much holster is below the pants line. The T1 is so wide below the pants it ends up smashing my junk sitting down and stabs both of my legs pushing the pistol into my stomach. I just ordered a Sidecar because it’s so much thinner down low. That being said T1 holster is awesome and I have had no issues with it.

    Bought a Tier One axis, has broken 5 times and been replaced 3 times. Bend radius cracks along pistol ejector on slide. Broke at 3 months, then 1 year, then 5 months. Finally quit replacing it. Holster is now jb welded heavy in two places where bend radius cracks kept forming. Would not buy again. Quality and improved design needed. The bends are on the T Rex have wider radiuses and seems a more durable design.

    The pistol make was P229. Tier 1 did replace the holsters at no charge, but who wants to replace the $140 holster every 6 months or less? 6'3", 185#. T1C is a fast draw and fairly comfy, conceals quite well. Design just puts too much shear stress on the slide bend and claw when I squat, move, or sit ( I drive 3 hours a day) and forms cracks. Just my experience.
