Trevor has a gift for being funny and instantly taking that humor and making a deeply important point with it. You could hear a pin drop when he switched modes and the entire room got very very quiet. The idea that we can speak the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it makes people, especially elected officials, is truly powerful.

I never realized that Trevor is such a great tap dancer. Subject to person, person to reputation, and back around again. And to do it in such a cold room. Pure talent and a true listening pleasure.

The last statement that he made was extraordinarily important. If a news reporter from Russia had the freedom to report like an American could, how would they go about doing so. American reporters should think about what they write and report the absolute truth first if they truly have it.

I am a HUGE fan of Trevor Noah. Not just for his jokes, but him as a person. He did a great job.

Trevor Noah is an absolute gem. That ending was actually powerful and I hope it reaches some of the people it's supposed to.

His astuteness and humour are fire, as he says 'holds power to account and gives voice to those who otherwise wouldn't have one "

My brother used to be Trevor Noah’s cinematographer for all his stand up giggs, so amazing how he had risen to the top and as a South Africa I am super proud.

Impressed that Biden laughed even when the joke was in him. He obviously didn’t like the dig at Hunter, but even then he didn’t scowl. Trump would have walked out within one minute, if he had had the guts to attend.

Watching Trevor Noah's success makes most people forget that he started as a little Soweto boy doing comedy bits on the streets for a few bucks . Now the man is making jokes in the same room as the most Powerful person on Earth , roasting him at his house and with the whole world watching . Wow! He slayed everyone with fluidity. I think this was the best W.H. Correspondents Dinner speech/performance ever. 👏

GO TREVOR!!!!! Love how he told it like it was. A great mixture of hilarity and genuine thoughtful realities that the media needed to face.

That last statement Trevor Noah said, "...If they had the freedom to write any words, to show any stories, or to ask any question; if they had basically what you have...Would they be using it in the same way that you do?...", was powerful. It has the potential to spark self awareness ventures amongst journalist/reporters.

Those last words brought tears to my eyes. We forget sometimes how incredible our country is and how we need to come together and appreciate what we have.

Definitely one of the best speeches I’ve seen at one of these events. When he dropped the jokes and really spoke from the heart about journalistic integrity…riveting stuff. There *are* journalists putting their lives on the line to perpetuate truth, and that’s honorable. Make fun of the blatant silliness we see every day, but also give credit where it’s due. It’s a balancing act he pulled off gracefully.

Trevor Noah has always been very appealing and as a person is someone who has good humor. But, honestly, he has never made me laugh. Not once. This is a nice appearance and the crowd liked him, but if you want funny, watch the dinner appearances of Conan O'Brian, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, Hasan Minaj.

Absolutely feel the same way. I happened to be listening to it while I was shopping, and was just cracking up laughing, while walking in the store. So full of laughter and insightfulness. I'm definitely sharing and putting it on my "repeat" playlist.

Especially considering that the room overflowed with immigrant descendants….

He balanced humor and the serious state of our country quite well. Definitely one of the best comedians to do this in quite a long time.

I haven’t laughed like that in a long time. He did great at being honest and poking at both sides.

This is where we are in the USA... and why we have to have a solid level of immigration. A South African know more about freedom than we do... and is a master of telling us how freedom is done.

Trevor's last remark hits the heart of what role the real journalism has to play. It is exactly what the Russians wouldn't see. And as Biden said, the democracy is not for a show game. Journalism supports the democracy, where everybody has the same true information, not some propaganda or misinformation. Responsibility is to be taken seriously and not to be taken for granted.

Trevor is amazing and I’m so glad he finally got more Recognition. He may be a comedian but he doesn’t hold back no what the situation. Great job Mr. Noah! And thank you Mr President Biden for having him!

I love love love Trevor Noah! His sense of humor and timing of his lines is perfect! 👍 the dead beats in the audience didn’t seem to appreciate it too much which makes it funnier.

Telling the truth even when it makes some people uncomfortable is one of the best points he made that I like.

Trevor Noah is amazing he helps the hard truths come forward with a joke. He gives us all many serious facts to think about , opening our minds to what we each can do to stand up against what is wrong in this world . He truly makes a difference!

Funny and classy. Trevor was great. This is the best comedian I’ve seen doing the White House correspondents’ dinner. 👏🏻👏🏻

Trevor Noah pulled zero punches on that one. Absolutely spot on, roasted everyone in sight perfectly yet tastefully.

Sometimes it's "breaking news", usually it's just "breaking drama". Maybe Trevor's speech will motivate them to update/drop the overused "breaking news" banner.

Noah is just so likable and the dude is really smart. A great set and he dissed the right people to their face.

I must have watched this about 13 times so far and I never get bored with how funny and so accurate this man is as he is joking,cough cough.just love it,I wish he could do more of this kind of stand up....thanks Trevor

Whether the Biden Administration evacuated 5 days, 5 months or 5 years after there still would have been just as many ( if not more ) casualties and chaos. Top Military Leaders have all voiced and confirmed this.
