Going to have to agree with the others in the comments: the old base looks better. It looks like an unused or abandoned military facility which adds to the atmosphere of the group you're working with. (shame you also had to change a lot from the first level from the demo to the base game, I loved the TV getting hacked with the "they're coming for you" text on it as well as the intel items detailing subject 106 and how the guards had trouble restraining him because he would use any non bolted down item as a weapon)

I love the hub but one complaint I have is that it feels dead and empty, I know you guys are a small team but maybe a few npcs talking and using computers would have made it seem more alive.

Well, because it looks not destroyed if you played the game, you find out why it gets destroyed, so it makes sense that it would loom worse after it being destroyed
