Surgery would be another cause. In a triple pelvic osteotomy f.e. you have to go through the gluteal muscles in order to reach the ischium bone - until the muscles are healed and strength is restored, the patients show a positiv trendelenburg sign

Is Trendelenberg test same as Trendelenberg sign??? Trendelenberg test for varicose vein and Trendelenberg sign for gluteus examination .sir it's my small doubt

It's Trendelenburg sign not test . Test is for varicose veins

The hip should not be flexed. Leads to false negative result. Because illiopsoas will prevent pelvis drop
