I'm now a value bird investor. I now filter my stocks with bird chirps. If I'm looking at a stock and a bird chirps then its going into my portfolio 😂

Thank you for sharing resources like this with us. This channel is a breath of fresh air. Also, was anyone else EXTREMELY distracted by the bird everytime Jerry was speaking? No...? just me....? I'll see myself out.

I rented this book from my local library..

Maybe consider doing an interview with Salem Abraham who was also a Turtle and studied with Jerry and became a very successful trader in Texas but who in later interviews says that Trend Following hardly works any more with the sophistication of computer trading in the market.

now this is next level!

What’s the book?

I liked the interview and the fact that he kept talking about the “system” but what is his system he is talking about? What are the rules?

So does the method still work on shorter time frames instead of longer trends (early on he mentioned he noticed they were becoming less effective)? And can an average joe who reads the book and follows the rules 100% get good results still? Or have computers and quant trading made it so that you need this sort of tech for it to work?

No, those shorter term time frames do not work any longer. The noise/signal ratio has increased over the years so you have to trade much longer term time frames. Do your own testing and research to find out.

Guys ... enough of your channel monetization! ... please, for the sake of reasonable sanity and as minimal level of courtesy to your guests - STOP the ads on your channel ... figure out some other way to tweak a profit from your efforts ... ad interruptions every few minutes on this episode, particularly, and, most likely, on every one of your other recordings, is a impolite breach with the courtesy your channel guests give you!

I don't get it, isn't this whole presentation antithesis to pretty much all the previous video and teachings? The presenter is saying you don't need to understand valuation, just have a system where you have stop lost limits and just buy lots of stuffs and you will have some big winners and make a lot of money. Sounds interesting but quite a contrast against value investing.

Very good point. Paul and Seth are always vocal of being value investors in the mold of Buffett whereas the Trend Following Approach is the antithesis of everything Buffett and get rich slowly. Maybe square that.

Hey Thep, they are presenting two ways of making money. Investing and trading. They focus heavily on value investing, but your can make money trading stocks as well which is what this video is about and what Mo does a lot of.

But this is not led by Mo. Paul always said he is a value investor, and doesn't know much about what Mo is saying. In this video, Paul is nodding and agreeing that this stuffs work. What gives?
