As a pakeha and the daughter of an Irish immigrant, a really important turning point for me was learning from Luvvie Ajayi Jones about the importance of being uncomfortable. Challenging myself and undoing my biases is VERY uncomfortable but that's how I know I'm learning and growing.

White privilege trains us to think that we're rarely wrong, so we don't have practice at correcting ourselves. It challenges the bedrock of white supremacy so strongly that it can trigger feelings of cognitive dissonance and make you question everything about who you are. Facing up to the realities of colonialism is painful, but very necessary

@@maryjack08 There is no such thing as "white privilege" that's just Marxist lie that has been used to browbeat white people. White excellence does not equal white privilege.

Why don't you have Professor Elizabeth Rata on? She has a differing opinion to you. Healthy debate, instead of one sided rhetoric.

It will be seen as bias having a maori lecturer speak on this issue and migrants will call it bias and racist by not being inclusive by inviting non maori experts on the show to give their view.

Rather dealing with real issues in this country e.g poverty, crimes and economic developments, the continued interpretation and reinterpretation brings uncertainties to business, to everything we do in life, divide the nation and people. It’s not a covenant it was intended to create a sovereign nation and unite everyone in NZ under one law and governance, Make stone aged slavery tribes to govern on their own or govern all of us? The treaty has fulfilled its purpose in history its time to move forward as one people one nation.

Is that what you really think? Or do you think people won't notice how ignorant you are because they'll be blinded by your racism?

For real . Look outside our nation for a view of what's coming. Unify or get overwhelmed.

Why do Moana and Jane put so much emphasis on ethnicity? Let's play devil's advocate for a minute: If we are bound by the sins of our ancestors, then Moana should pay reparations to herself being of both Māori and European ancestry. Obviously, that is ridiculous. And that is why we need to move beyond this ethno-centric thinking. What is wrong with everyone having equal rights and responsibilities under the law, and providing Government services based on need, not ethnicity?

When they find the remains of maori , frozen in Antarctica , the myth about being great navigators will be debunked. Chased off thier islands by the stronger Polynesians and adrift in the Pacific current .😊😊😊.
