Hell of a field you got there, mister! Lovely zoomorphic strap end, and I think the design started out representing horses but kind of went off the rails a bit. The design on the lead disc is a dead ringer for some of the apotropaic markings you see on very old buildings to ward off evil spirits. Maybe this was a portable one! Who knows?

@@HolzHammerSagas While some early (for some) imbibage may indeed have taken place, they had no effect on my thoughts 🤣 Cruciform brooch feet depicted horse heads which were quite recognisable to start with, but by the time you get to the later brooches (including square-headed) the booze had taken effect and they could be anything up to and including a schitzoid rodent👍

These vids just get better and better Alex. I'm feeling a bit nervous for you regarding the Deus 2. It's hard to think that anything could be better than your old Deus 1. I have gone over to a Manticore but this time I have kept my Deus 1 and even though the Manticore is deeper I have a sneaking feeling I am going to go back to my good old D1 so I'm going to be particularly interested in your next vid.

Great video as usual. I have recently 'upgraded' to the Deus 2 lite from the Deus 1 however I have also got the wsa2 headphones so I can use the ws6 stem mounted. It is fantastic on sensi FT programme after I removed the discrimination and notch. I was concerned like you are about the familiarity after being well served with the Deus 1. At 10.12 the lead artifact has a daisy-wheel and circle round it and the symbol was used from the Medieval Period right through to the 19th Century. Sometimes known as witch marks when they occur as historic graffiti but thought to be protective magic or apotropaic magic. Check out the book Magical House protection by the Archaeologist Brian Hoggard and very much worth reading

If I lived in the UK and I had to deal with stubble, I would run with goldfield program (notch it to 00-00 helps with iron falsing) since it is much deeper and super sensitive to smaller targets for at least it works great here for cornfield stubble...
