    The Budget is a band aid solution. I wonder if all the politicians get a pay rise too. An energy rebate is great for me. Now I can use the oven twice a month and cook meals on the stove three times a month. Thank you Mr Treasurer for making my lifestyle better. The only thing is I cannot buy steak or meat products because it is too expensive.

    I don't feel confident that the rental crisis will be lessened by this budget. We don't have the housing to support the current immigration numbers. The plans regarding building seemed half baked. There is already a MASSIVE trade shortage! We are going to both reduce immigration and somehow manifest the skilled workers needed to build these homes??? Press X for doubt..

    🤔 if they truly want to help poverty and families; why don’t they extend the personal income tax exemption to 1st $50k earnings without paying federal and state taxes? That would help these groups do to constant continuous rise in inflations.

    @RRbudgets Disability support is quite different to age pension IMO. Pensions are already adjusted for inflation, plus many pensioners are eligible for a smorgasbord of additional support. Pensions are a very good deal for those receiving them, and a very high cost for those paying. If government payments increase with inflation, why don't the income tax brackets? The budget also froze PBS prices, which will assist many pensioners even as their payments increase

    @@RumperTumskin I agree with the you on the Pensions they are extremely different, I just wish that disability pensioners would even at least be considered in the budgets, because when they say the rental assistance and such will be increased by whatever it was I think it 8% whilst it is good that the aged pensioners get some relief I’m glad i just wish we disability pensioners got something as well, whilst I do work I only do two days a week at a disability work place because that’s all my health can handle Whilst I do understand where you are coming from it just sucks that a lot of the times disability pensioners don’t get anything when they do the budget! I am extremely grateful and happy that I do get the pension and I’m not complaining about that I just wish that they would take into account all pensioners not just one side of it! But on another note I’m happy that most of the health industry is getting the boost it deserves!

    Whether a landlord owns 5 houses, or 1 house, unit or even business property, surly the power rebate is given to the tenants in the rented property who pay the power bill? A landlord isn’t going to live in 5 houses at once!! I don’t see how the oppression can make a big deal out of this when a huge percentage of properties are rentals!!!

  • @markbernard8312

    @markbernard8312

    26 күн бұрын

    @@hjf3022 everytime the government injects cash into the market they do so at the cost of overuling the natural order of an economy aka the invisible hand. Therefore when government spends it is ussually in deference of the economy not in harmony with it. This will therefore constrict supply unaturally which then leads to an inflationary response. Primaraly this is because the government itself possess no true means of production. To make matters worse as government spending is a production black hole it takes necessary resources from the private sector which in turn constricts expansion in the private sector which then adds to inflationary pressure. The best thing the government can do is cut spending, not increase it and increase tax concessions as well as loosen regulation on business which in general is the strategy of most conservative governments which is why traditionally the economy tends to be better under conservative governments.

    Why does someone who earns 40k this year get to keep 89% of that, but someone on 200k only gets to keep less than 68%? Under the tax changes, that goes almost 91% and almost 70% respectively. Let's not pretend the person keeping much more of what they worked hard for is the one getting shafted here...
