So here is The First Step story line: 1. Boy : So this boy fall in' love with this girl. He ask a chance to the girl (in the lyric: open you heart, I just wannabe your boy). It's something like first love with a heart beat kinda thing. You know what I mean. 2. Come To Me : The boy convincing the girl that he will wait till the girl ready (since the girl is notready to talk about a relationship or in a relationship, she maybe feel uncomfortable), I mean he will not bring the relationship topic until the girl ready. Whenever it is, she can come to the boy if she is ready to the next level. 3. I Love You: So apparently, the girl ready to get down. So, the boy just confess his love to the gril. I mean go see the lyiric and you'll understand the "confession" I'm talking about. 4. Blink Like This: it's about how the boy see her. That 'bling-bling' describe his feeling over her and how he see her as a most shinning thing (in Yoshi's part : you're my shooting star). Like the feeling when you fallin love, everything will look shinning, shimmering, splendid, kinda thing idk i never fall in love before but thats what people say. 5. MMM: Started with "treasure you, treasure you, treasure you" I assume, that the boy and the girl already in a relationship and how the boy treasure her the most. Nothing can compare to her. Nothing. Not even a million dolar painting. Again, here, the boy convicing the girl that "it's him, just the way he is, so she should not afraid of anything and just hold his hand, and he will always treasure her". 6. Orange : The last but no least, orange in Japanese culture or language, can be considered craving for attention, or in this case orange means sunset (please correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not Japanese). If you're an anime lover you must be know the anime "orange" (it have live action btw), so this anime is about a group of friends (and some lovers) whom don't want to be separated by the end of the day aka sunset (one of them died at the end, and its happened at sanset). This concept really similar to what Treasure means to "Orange" not so surprise since it's compose by two J-line. I think it's Japanese thing, a deep meaning within a simple gesture. So, back to our story line, finally after confess his love in chapter two, the boy and the girl finnaly in relationship in chap three. You know, lovebirds usually don't want to be separated and want to spend as much time as posible, togather. they want to stop the time, the sunset, so they can spend much more time together. It is, apparently not a sad song. Not really. Not as sad as we expected by just listen to the music without context. But, it couse a lot of fried rice out ther crying. And mee too. As a closing statment from me: Thankyou Treasure, for serving us such a beautiful song in every chapter. I love it.
