Yay, wheels have different offset!

I changed my Maxx to the same size tires, car sputtered to go was told to change pinion gear Ratio one or two sizes up on order now.

The exact same thing happened to my stocks maxx tires . Now probably I’m going to get the proline trencher 3.8 .

I have traxxas wide maxx and i have a set of tires that are 17mm hex will it work or do i have to have steel cvds fit them on

How do those tires wear on asphalt or concrete or have you even driven your car on asphalt or concrete with those new tires?

I don't have the wide Maxx kit, what would still be a great upgraded set of wheels?

Nice i've been looking to replace my tires on my Maxx as well. Im pretty new to the hobby and still picking up on stuff as im getting back into it but I do have a question with getting bigger tires. Question: I have the widemaxx kit, and also have the widemaxx steel cvd kit installed on my Maxx, would adding bigger tires like this be too much for the gears to handle? I don't do any bashing like crazy jumps or anything insane like that, mostly dirt, grass fields and beaches for mine. I'm on the fence of upgrading tires because of fear of just breaking everything, whats your thoughts on that? Nice video, very informative on how to put on tires for the Maxx and what it looks like, good stuff!

Those badlands aren’t any harder on ur truck they almost the exact same weight I love mine u also get a wider stance

Do they fit with aluminum hubs on?

I put these on my maxx, also tried the 3.8 trenchers. Look badass but the battery goes flat much faster! Mebbe smaller ring gear? They also twisted my plastic driveshafts

Definitely Better than stocks😊 and they have way more grip too. I’ve actually had pretty good luck with stock axles. When I high traction Area’s I try and be a little less throttle happy. I know it’s tough when having fun but overall way better tires than stock. Thank you for tuning in 🤘🏼💯😊

I’ve never had issues running badlands. I think it all depends on what surface you run on. I usually run in loose dirt or grass. Grass definitely bites more for sure. Trenchers have a little less bite but still awesome for loose dirt IMO

2 of mine blew up too. From water..

@@pnwRCMADNESS I think the blog is good and I know it’s hard to get thing going without like 5 people recording u , it’s hard to bash and record everything but u do a great job wit bashing and editing it all .. these days people only like vids where they trash there RCs and I just can’t do that to all my trucks I’m in this hobby deep , u no what I mean

I’ve used badlands on all 12 xmaxxs I’ve ever owned and not one of them even on 12s ever blew out or had a issue

Love the badlands probably my favorite of all and I run them on multiple vehicles... so hey have massive amounts more grip then stock. Thank you for tuning in

Austin Elder- the Maxx will tend to roll when it has stock suspension... i actually put the wide Maxx kit on my trucks and it handles for to my liking 😊

Yes they help the truck with a wider stance

What about Trenchers? Supposedly it will flip WAY less with them

Trenchers have really good grip as well. There just a bit more mild on the traction side in grass. Grass surface is super high bite/grip

My truck sputters on take off was told to go 1or 2 teeth up on pinion gear

Has that plastic center peace on the wheels Crack on u yet?? If ur wheel starts Wobbling it's because that reason upgrade to the aluminum ones it's alot better and yes I love these tires on my maxx!

So you don’t have to upgrade the hubs some guy told me that the tracks is Max has 14 mm hubs

Man, the Maxx has that perfect size where it can rock 2.8s or 3.8s and it doesn't look wired.

The prolines 2.8 do fit but they come with the 12 mm hub adapters. You can buy the 17 mm hubs for the 2.8 from proline. I love that the hubs are interchangeable. Also if you strip one out you only need to replace the hub not the whole wheel.

Cool tires but Proline knowsnhow to annoy users of these tores, screw the screws into frame, then some weird crap magic happening and fibally putting on wheels on rc... geez. No thank you, I stick with 12mm hex

I'm watching this as I am fully tearing down my X-Maxx after running it through salt water. Yeah, dumb idea!
