They are one heck of a truck. The new Traxxas Xmas ultimate looks pretty sick. She comes all decked out with all the goodies with a 1500 dollar price tag

Now put them on the Summit (as dualies.) You need to float on the snow with as much surface area and as little weight as possible.

Go to your local computer store or online and buy a larger cooling fan for less than $5. One 80mm cooling fan has an area of 5027 mm squared while two 40mm fans have a combined area of 2514. You can zip tie a much larger cooling fan on the Xmaxx upper rail. There's also nothing stopping you from mounting a standard (cheap and efficient) 120mm computer cooling fan that you can find as e-waste from old computers. Companies like Castle just rebrand PC parts made in China. Those thick (and loud) standard in RC 40mm fans are nothing more than a standard cooling fan used in PC mainframe servers made by only a handful of companies.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into that if I have heat issues….I do already have a dual blower castle fan on my motor

The belt drive was super unreliable…the 1.5 mod gears are the way to go…I haven’t had any issues with them

I don’t see why these have to be so expensive.
