They took out the heavy-duty center drivetrain took out the brushless system and charged us more.... thx traxxas. Has a top speed of 12mph. Is this 1980 again?
Who needs scissors and a razor blade to cut the packaging when you have a Dewalt drill lol

Ooh! That's cool, do you recommend a Tamiya rally car, I think I may want to buy one of the RC cars!
Nice unboxing. Well done very clear and informative. 👍😉😁

nice vr/46 i like👍
It's a low cg slash with as few different parts like front bumper assembly and body posts. Wheels look great.

I like the wheels too. Too bad it's such an underrated rc car for Traxxas.
When you upgrade to the Velineon you’ll also have to purchase the 20$ slipper clutch or the 40$ differential. Thanks for the video, great review!

YoungOG Troy agreed. The small slipper can’t handle the power of 3s at least mine can’t.

Mine shredded that clutch so bad, can't believe I had to upgrade within a couple of days of buying this rc car! 😂😂
NICE REVIEW..
FYI, while this IS based on the LCG Slash there are some differences. The A arms are from the Telluride and are shorter than standard Slash arms. This was done to give it a more scale stance and tuck the wheels under the body. The gears are 48 pitch, the "high stall" slipper is all plastic and will disintegrate with brushless power. The Stampede 4x4 6878 slipper drops right in and includes a 54T 32 pitch spur. I have the Fiesta ST rally running a 5200kv orange Chinese motor fed by a Hobbywing max10 120A esc geared 15/54 with the Stampede slipper running on 2S Lipo. This combo is just silly, and nothing broken yet. The rest of it is bone stock aside from the motor, ESC, and slipper noted above. 3S would probably break stuff, but I have no need for more speed in this car.

Have you tried any different wheel/tires? I ran my car for about a year then went to a 3S brushless. After that, the tires were gone in about a week. Thinking about using 1/8 scale buggy wheels/tires. And oh yeah, I'm breaking stuff with the 3S. Luckily I have a 3D printer.

@@icin4d i have run Dynamite shootouts as well as breakaways, which both worked well but honestly the car handles best with the stock tires. Very predictable ! The Dynamite rubber has held up very well but the stock tires seem to be the best all around rubber. Keep in mind I am running strictly 2S with the stock TQ radio, so not stability assist. The $50ish for 2 Zeee 2S 5200mah 50C hardcase lipos perform great. With my setup I do have a few clear spots above the front tires from rubbing caused by balooning of the stock tires. I was going to try a set of SC badlands but they hit the body. Duratrax SC tires I looked at were slightly smaller diameter so I never tried them.
The plastic centre-driveshaft works just fine using the vxl bl combo. I had no issues with it at all

Great to hear. It was a concern of mine.
nice bro
Great unboxing I have this model to I wish it had just a little more power for drifting corners and a foam sleeve for the motor I get allot of rocks in the motor and fear it won't last long great overview 👍😁

Same. I had one for a while and had to put literal duct tape on the tires to make the damn thing drift! Lol! Still a fun car though!
Nice
Thanks for making this vid mate...just got this 2nd hand in a v sweet deal. Guy I got it from gave it with a Hobbywing motor so I'm going to shove my VXL esc in it (the VXL motor is otherwise indisposed 😉🤣)....I own a Slash and Rustler both 2wd...so 4wd is new for me...the guy upgraded the drive /prop shaft to metal which is good...but are the inner workings of the pinion/spur set up in this the same as the Slash/Rustler? I mean in terms of changing? My other two are quite easy to change but this, with the cover etc seems quite fiddly. Also being a 4wd can I convert to 2wd by just removing the prop shaft? Cheers mate ....👍 and thanks for recognising Rossi 'The Doctor' ..He's an absolute legend on 2 wheels....not only that, in 2007 having never been in an F1 car before jumped in an oldr spec version and lapped 0.7 seconds of Schumacher's pace....not bad considering Rossi never drove and F1 car before, was driving an older spec car and didnt get any prep talk from Schumacher. As Schumacher hinself said 'I didn't give him any advice. He didn't need any'. Bear in mind Rossi was out on track at the same time as other seasoned F1 drivers including Schumacher himself, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa, Nico Rosberg, Juan Pablo Montoya, Ralf Schumacher, Robert Kubica, Mark Webber et al. M Schumacher's time: 1:640 V Rossi: 1:12:362 in an older spec and older engined car. Something tells me he was good in two and 4 wheels had he switched.

Traxxas Plastic is weak in cold weather and they flex they dont snap but it is possible to snap it but it can take a beating and it's not expensive mainly only main components are expensive
shame its all bloody plastic, come on traxxas give us some aluminium as standard
