    @teamsargentrc6399 There's something to be said for chunky crawlers, no doubt about it,😊 "but in our environment" a chunky crawler, might quickly turn into a boat anchor "in certain areas" But I can definitely appreciate a weighty crawler,😁 my tf2 is a total pig.🐖 😄 lol As for the trx4's; Some minor brass goodies, will most likely be in their future.😁 Michigan; I know my Michigan bro, 😄👍 Your over in the thumb somewhere aren't you ? 😕 Not up as far as Bad Axe, but I definitely remember you being from the thumb, 👍 and roughly 3-4 hours away from here, "which is somewhere between Kalkaska and Mancelona"😊 but please don't include me in those towns stereotypes 🙄 I was born, raised, and spent the majority of my life downstate in the Oakland County area,😄 which is a night and day difference compared to the local scene around here. 😆 lol Come to think of it,🤔 I think Kalkaska was on the tonight show at one point or another, "as being one of the dumbest towns in America" 🙄 esh! We on the other hand, are no where near either town, we're roughly 15 minutes away "at 55 mph, from either one of them, and out in the middle of the woods, But we are still "technically" within the county limits. 🙄😄 Thanks for your continued channel support John, and many more thanks for your Kindness.😊👍🤜🤛

    @teamsargentrc6399 RC hobby store! 😱 oh no! Your going to end up hating the hobby after that John, That store is literally going to suck the RC love right out of you,😕 and your going to end up hating them instead, It's actually a pretty common problem, "people love the rc hobby and then get a job at a hobby store, and the next thing you know they can't stand rc's anymore, simple because they spend all their time working at the store, and don't have enough time to enjoy the hobby itself, which ultimately causes them to despise the hobby. 😕☹️ I wish you all the best with that endeavor brother, I really do,😕 but ah don't be surprised if you end up hating RC's about a year or two into owning your own store.☹️ I've got 47 RC's sitting right in front of me, which is certainly more than most hobby stores have in stock, but ahhhh... there's not a chance in hell that I would ever open a hobby shop, or even remotely think about getting a job at a hobby store.😕 That would certainly take all the fun out of it.🙄☹️ That being said, I do Sincerely Wish You All The Best with your new store, and Yes hopefully one day will get a chance to meet up at your shop, "or even better, out on my RC Adventure Course.😁👍 Otherwise it's always good talking with you Brother, and I look forward to hearing from you on the next video.😁👍🤜🤛

    Much appreciated Doug, 😊 The lift install was the easy part, all the real work went into the video editing process,🙄(17 hour build/filming time, 31 videos in total, with a total combined time of 500 minutes, all slammed together and edited down, to a mere 259 minutes.😄😭 I've probably got well over 100 hours into the editing alone,🤔😕 "That's some serious dedication! 😄 lol As far as other people's install videos; "Just like the rest of my build or fabrication videos" I haven't seen, or even attempted, to search out any other videos on the subject, 😕 And I'll tell you why! "Plausible Deniability" 😂 lol When it comes to my install & fabrication videos... My "ideas", and "personal thoughts shared", are mine and mine alone, with no other outside influence.😊 And I'm kinda proud of that fact too! 😄 ha lol But I'm also a little bit crazy too...😕 so you gotta take the good with the bad I suppose.😂 ha ha ha lol But "generally speaking" my madness does have a method to it.😕😄 Much appreciated for your kindness Doug, and many, many more thanks, for checking out the entire show, That's Huge! 😊🙏 I know I say this a lot, But it's very much appreciated Brother. 😊🤜🤛 Edited for proper emoji placement 😄

    How do you known if you have long or short wheelbase? No one ever says in the videos not even the traxxas official

  • @R.C.A.D.

    @R.C.A.D.

    3 ай бұрын

    Well the best way is to measure between the center of the front wheel stud to the center of the rear wheel stud, and that will give you your wheelbase,😊 but the easiest way is to look at your vehicle online "at say Amain hobbies" and see what the wheelbase is in the vehicle description.😂 Trx4 Blazer, Trx4 79 Bronco, and the trx4 sports have a 312mm wheelbase, The Trx4 defender has the longer wheelbase of 324mm, along with the newer style trx4 bronco, and a few others, and then the newer trx4 high trail pickups have a completely different wheelbase,🤔 I'm not sure what it is off the top of my head, but it's in between 312 and 324mm, Thanks Traxxas! 🙄

    @@R.C.A.D. I put the shorter arms on my 21 bronco and every thing fit perfect. Either I got lucky or some one messed up on measurements.

    @raidersperez1278 The 2021 Bronco has a 324 mm wheelbase, so...... Yeah......🤔 No matter how close it might look, you probably don't have it set up right.😕 "You basically just shortened your wheelbase" there's a fine line between 312mm and 324mm if you put them side by side it's barely noticeable, but there's definitely a difference between the two. Right now when you're suspension is fully extended your tires are probably coming close to the inner edges of the front and rear fenders, and with the 324mm setup it would be closer to the middle of the wheel well vs sitting slightly forward of center in the back and slightly backwards of center in the front,😕 You need to switch it over to the 324mm parts. The 312 setup will work, but it's not right for the wheelbase of your 2021 Bronco.😕

    😕 hmm !? That's kinda funny Robert, that's another one of the reasons I took so long to install these things, I've had these long arm kits sitting here "for almost two full years now, and even though getting the RC workshop finished was my main excuse for the delayed install, "all the while in the back of my mind, I've been conflicted as to if I even wanted to lift it,🤔? I mean really... it's a pretty good truck right out of the gate, and crawls beautifully the way it is,😕 Adding the Long arm lift does have its benefits, but it's also got it's share of drawbacks as well, Taller truck and Bigger tires, equals Tippy when climbing steep obstacles, and Rollover prone everywhere else,🤔😕 or at least that's what I would expect. But I think if you found the right combination of Tire size and low slung weight, it could be a very beneficial upgrade overall, "the extra suspension travel" being the most beneficial part, 😕 my nieces Custom Gen 8 is a perfect example of that, Before we installed the lift onto my brother's bronco, my nieces Gen 8, was the most capable vehicle in our collection, But it's still running 1.9's too 😕 (312mm wheelbase,110mm shocks all the way around, and riding on 1.9's) It's actually got a little more to it than just that, but the moral of the story, is that it's a pretty bad@ss truck, It rides extremely low on a full sag suspension setup, but has legs for days "when it comes to articulating over obstacles,😁 "All the custom work that went into that Gen 8" was the best thing that ever happened to it.😄👍 Back to the Trx4's; My trx4 bronco is still unlifted at this point in time, but I was planning on going through with it "whenever I had the opportunity to get it installed,😕 (with the hopes of gaining some extra off-road performance, "in having the extra suspension travel") 🤔 my initial plans were to stick with my 1.9's. But after running my brother's truck with 2.2's, up against my stock truck with 1.9's, (upcoming video) I could definitely see the advantages of running the larger tires,🤔 "as well as a few disadvantages.😕 We ran a set of Proline 2.2 Interco TSL SX Super Swampers on it, and those tires measure out at 5.4" tall by 2.25" wide, which is a far cry from the stock 1.9 Canyon Trails at 4.64"×1.89" 😕 or the Duratrax Deep Woods that I was running at 4.88"× 1.8?" At times the 2.2 swampers were a obvious advantage, "but when it comes to steep obstacles, you could immediately see the disadvantage of having those big tires on this relatively short wheelbase, "it looked like a 79 Bronco rolling on 48's" 😕 nevertheless... he still had an easier time going around the adventure course then I did,😂 lol I or "we" did some extensive tuning in the adventure course before that run, and I was basing everything on actively trying to get my brother's lifted bronco stuck,😄 So the adventure course was extra gnarly for that run, and made it absolute hell for me running my basically stock truck,😂 (And it should be a pretty good video once I finish editing it.😁👍) And then we did another video on the next day, with my Brother's bronco running on 1.9 Deep Woods vs my nieces custom Gen 8 running on my custom trimmed 1.9 Deep Woods,😁 110mm shocks vs 110mm shocks, Deep Woods vs Custom Deep woods, Traxxas trx4 vs Redcat gen 8, "Which is going to be another good video"😊 I don't want to give away the outcome of those videos, "but overall, the lifted trx4 was pretty much running the show.🏁 As far as the long arm lift goes; I think with the right suspension setup, and the right size 2.2 tires,(not too big but yet not too small) it could be a very beneficial upgrade.😊 Anyways... why did you decide to remove your long arm lift kit Rob ? 😕 I'm not knocking you for removing it, I was just wondering what made you decide to do it ? 😕 "Since I was on the fence about doing it for so long"🙄😕 Otherwise thanks for sharing your lift kit removal info, and for checking out the video my friend. 😊👍🙏🤜🤛
