Traxxas, on their site, specify 90mm shocks all around and the 2.2” wheels w/ tires still measure 4.7” in diameter. Long travel shocks would be awesome on this rig though!

Love the included LED, and Long Travel shocks. Outside of that, the TRX-4 is the new cow at Traxxas. Milk it until it dies. The G500 4x4 squared did not do well at F&M. We've only had a few preorder requests for the 6x6. I didn't get to see one first hand, but it's definitely huge... Lol. Good video as always Richie.

Thanks! I think the body on the G500 is that nice it may put people off e.g. don't want to scratch it. Also I think the G500 would do better in real world colors (Have you seen a real blue one in that red or blue?) Thxs! :-)

@@DriftomaniacsRC No I haven't. Don't forget, Killer Body had this body available a few years ago. I don't recall the quality of it, but I'm sure it will be cheaper on the outset. I can see people looking for one of those and refitting them.

now it depends where you live and where you have to run it in, arguably it's easier to find places to run a crawler in, I've owned a UDR and it's a nice car but you need a big open area that's a loose surface, as it hates running on blacktop (traction rolls on blacktop a lot, on loose stuff you can drift it in turns on full throttle).

Decent video, but you really have to check your dimensions, there isn't any long travel kit included in this, the tires are just 1.9 size tires on 2.2 size wheels giving them a low-pro type appearance.

Mate the front battery tray is in the ford bronco nothing new unfortunately 👍🏼

I know that but it's not in the orginal TRX4 which was the point I was wanting to make, apologies if that wasn't clearer, just highlighting that. I didn't get the bronco as I have one of the early TRX4'sm which I love the body on.!

Man you videos are good but you do tend to bang on a bit (talk too much). You could do with shortening taking out of the box. Who cares what it says on the box? No doubt you'll go through all that when you go through the car when it's out of the box so you are repeating yourself make the video longer and more tedious. Just my opinion bro. Your reviews are so in depth that you can definitely loose some of it. The running of the vehicle is what I'm most interested in. Maybe try switching the format so as the vehicle running section comes before the in depth review? If we like how it runs well want to see what's "under the hood" 😎👍 Give it a try bud 😉 peace brother

you see I can't win, if I don't add detail then people complain I'm not covering enough. Vehicle to run should be here in 2 weeks. Speed test video up tonight at 5 PST. I'll unbox faster where I can.

Deciding between trx6 or axial 6x6

Zach should be an easy choice. The axial is a chassis extension. The TRX6 is a solid rail.

long travel kit and the LED lights would cost you $350 to add to your stock TRX4. Which would take the price way over this which has them as stock. Just a thought!

Ouch! Is that with the VAT? Man I soooooo do not miss that 20% VAT (That's 20% sales tax to my USA friends/viewers). That puts it at $962 in the UK guys, now I do wonder about the Brexit affect on the pound? That's a huge difference. Even with 7% sales tax here in CA it'll be around $660 vs $962 in the UK if that 780 gbp is right (and I do believe you, just not checked it as yet).

I want to put a peterbilt body on one.

Idk how this could be construed as a review..

so you don't want ANY close ups or ANY details about the car in a review??? So a review is best with no close ups, no info on the car, and maybe it driving around in the distance with no info on how it's performing? See my point? If you were buying a real car and the video 'review' consisted of someone getting in it, not showing you around it and driving it around without saying a word would work? Full 'Test Drive' of the truck coming as soon as it's in stock. An unboxing? I'd could do one, unpack the truck put it on the side and not say a word about it. That would be an unboxing in the strictest sense of the word. Everyone has their own view on what a review or an unboxing is. I've seen 'reviews' of high speed buggies where you hear nothing on the spec of the car, nothing as to how it handles and no close ups, and the car so far in the distance you can barely see it, now that's not what I'd call a review but youtube is littered with such RC reviews. I'm not a fan of the term unboxing as when I look to buy say a new microwave I don't type 'microwave unboxings', do you?

@@DriftomaniacsRC Wow bro, chill. Without reading that short story, a review generally consists of actual experience with the product, and reporting those findings, good and/or bad. That's it. You've got good content here; the camera work really shows off how detailed the body is and a comprehensive breakdown of features..That's an unboxing.

@@paulmccarter908 no worries! with all of the cars I buy or get loaned I now try and do a short test at the end of the video, with this one not being out for customer release yet, no test (but got one on order). Of note is that one major youtuber wrote to me about 3 years back saying that I'd got the jump on them each time on a 'review' and that they were starting to use the term unboxing. Back then people weren't using the term unboxing.The problem for me is that the majority of people (particularly anyone new to RC!) search for reviews and not unboxing's (If the TRX6 was new to you in a hobby store, and you were new to RC you'd not go home and search for TRX6 unboxings would you - see the problem?). I am glad you like the video content though as that's the main thing. I've just switched to the new gopro 7 which seems to give much better 4k than my gopro 5 4k did! Should be getting one of these in about 2 weeks when they come in but hearing rumors they could be a week away?

@@DriftomaniacsRC I'm really not seeing a problem; as a rc guy with 16 years experience, when I see the word 'review', I have certain expectations, as well as if I were searching out an 'unboxing'. Since you've seemingly changed the meaning of review vs unboxing, I take your point as you've presented it.

Like the cars I look at down at JJ Customs I've started calling First Look, as they're neither a review nor an unboxing! Just editing one at the minute. Then off out to bash!

That is a terrible cheap attempt by by traxxas just doesnt cut it after the titan motor issues I've had with my trx4 3 in a year had change to different brand not to mention still using they terrible 2065 and 2075 servos no thanks traxxas get rid off your sub par components and I'll start buying again but until then I wont be buying another traxxas I'll get the axial unimog

I understand you issue on the motor, but we're still on the original motor and we got one of the first ones in the USA, what keeps happening to them? I'd agree the servo is probably the first thing to upgrade though

@@DriftomaniacsRCthe brushes seem to burn out on them very easily If you open a titan motor you will see how flimsy they are.currently running a yeah racing crawler motor in mine and its been great even whilst pulling trailers.traxxas just annoy me feels they take there customers for granted these day like even you say about the servos instead of having to upgrade stuff like that traxxas should have resolved this themselves.upgrades are fun but basic components should be reliable as standard

The servo situation needs sorting, I had a UDR and that fuse blowing thing? That just seemed a little crazy! Then the same thing in erevo 2.0, I've a castle crawler edition combo that I'll probably fit to the TRX6 as with the sensored setup the control level is awesome. I may look inside an older titan motor if I get a minute, indeed 'what's in a traxxas motor' would probably do well as people are intrigued. Anyhow I hope the yeah racing crawler setup is working better. I'm just thinking about getting their twin fan for the infration motor.
