My very first Traxxas was an Xmaxx in 2015. never gave much thought on the Rustler until I bough an Ultimate earlier this year. It was pricey but the thing is a blast.

Battery and charger came with my bl2s slash. Definitely adding a new stampede and rustler too

Traxxas used to be the only RC company to me. Now they're the only RC company i don't consider when i buy. They've not made anything new I've wanted since the TRX6 G63. My collection went from only Traxxas to only 2 Traxxas left in it. It's just insane to me that i can still buy basically the same Bandit i bought from them 20 plus years ago. My current Xmaxx is practically the same as my first 6s one. They would rather squeeze every last penny out of each design from every customer than be industry leaders they once were. 2wd, 2s brushless systems in decades old rigs? No thanks. Say what you will about Horizon but they've taken chances and given us great rigs that Traxxas wouldn't consider because it's a risk. The greed has killed the innovation. I'll not buy another one until it's more than 2s brushless and bold new colors.

As soon as they brought out the new budget brushless system it seemed highly likely they were going to replace the whole brushed range with the other beefed up parts. The problem we have here in the UK is that the 2wd's are over £300 and the 4wd's nearly £400, it wouldn't be so bad if they had made the system handle 3s lipo

I would love to do the clipless setup on my 2wd rustler.... but from what I can see it's not just about buying the upgraded body and clips, but it looks like part of the chassis uses screws for the new clip less mount... so does that mean that also has to be changed? The pictures don't have good angles

I will be very interested in your traxxas documentary!! I am a traxxas fan boy, the vxl bandit is a moving little machine!! I do have a lot of traxxas models along with a couple of them tennis court racers the latrax rally cars are a blast anyhow glad that traxxas is lowering and improving their line, that's how you get more of the rc community involved !!!

Gotta admit… really thinking I want one of these. I love traxxas and while I really want a VXL Ultimate Rustler, these cool 2s 2wd’s really seem like some fun. Not all crazy but still just some good ol’ bashing fun. It’s either the Rustler or the Bigfoot for me. 👍😎

@@chrisvda7277 AE is getting expensive as well, MT8 is cheap though their spares have been going up though. Corally are probably best value here at the moment
