It all depends on the consistency of the snow….if it’s light and powdery, that’s the best snow especially for a 2wd machine…..this snow was unfortunately wet and heavy so it clings to the machine and weigh it down quite a bit more

Robinson racing 7856 slipper clutch is way to go been running it for 3 years 0 problem with it

We got snow here last year and my stampede couldn’t move in it … crawlers were fun though

Yeah especially without paddle tires….snow can be very challenging for a 2wd machine

I think I going to get another stampede but two wheel drive just like yours but one question. What happens if I only put one set of tires on the back that are bigger than the front. Because I have a set of Traxxas sledgehammer tires and I’m thinking of putting them on it but I only have two tires I can put on. So would it break if I put two different size tires on it? And I am thinking of buying some paddle tires on the back in case of sand like yours and I’m wondering if that would put stress too?

If they’re bigger than stock you’ll probably be more likely to break from the extra weight and rotating mass….but otherwise it shouldn’t affect it too much

Yeah I did this smae moter upgrade on my stamped 4x4 and it has not been going well thing just kept breaking. So at that point I just got a new rc. Hope it Gose well for you

@@cheesecake9336 yeah if it was a brushed model that makes sense…a lot of the truck needs to be upgraded to handle the power and harder hits from running brushless power

If it make u feel any better I did the same thing with my 2wd basher it sucked just kept making snowballs of my front tires lol so I bought me a Xmas xmaxxx😁

Yeah 2wd don’t do well in wet snow…..Xmaxx is definitely the way to go! Especially with Paddle Tires! Have fun with it 👍😉

Hey buddy I got a question for you I like how you build the Stampede I bought one but I want to put a 4000 kv hobby wing do you think the system will hold up and the Stampede or is it too much for it

Yeah as long as you don’t gear it up super high it should hold up fine in a Stampede

I think snow will still cling to the tires….it almost needs skis on the front

@@RCKnockout maybe but those tires are also a lot thinner so the snow would have less surface area to stick too

I don’t have any experience with the Hoss but it’s essentially just a Slash 4x4 underneath….the Hoss would be a bit cheaper than a Maxx…the Maxx is a great truck though
