Proline makes a standard style body post kit for the maxx with the thumb screw caps. It’s a solid upgrade and lets you run whatever body you want, then you don’t have to worry about the body popping off anymore.

❤ Good channel. I'm from England but have been to NZ and absolutely loved it. Working way through videos of yours.

Had an Invictus 10mt as my first RC and loved it to bits. Then came my slash platinum and ohhh boy was that an experience. The power was insane the driving performance was always there and no mater where I was driving, I always had a blast with it

Great video! Depends on what you want to use it for but i love them both for different reasons and different styles of driving.

I have the updated Maxx and a 2WD VXL Slash. They are both a lot of fun. The Slash is faster, the Maxx is more stable and much better on rough terrain. The Maxx is better in my opinion, but you can't go wrong with either truck. Great comparison video!

I have the Maxx with the widemaxx kit and steel drive shafts. I love this truck.

Just got the quantum Mt Flux 3s which is awesome but you have to upgrade the controller, also bought the 2 wheel drive slash for my nephew and that thing is so much fun

This ^^. They are different RCs for a reason. My slash vxl 4x4 is more planted on flat ground and on track and my t-max, max, revo etc are great for the park with the kids and bashing. Lol.

We race the Slash 4x4 VXLs on 2s. Lots of fun! I do also want to try a desert racer/trophy truck.

Have had my slash 4x4 on 3s lipo for almost 10 years now they are such tanks I've barely broken anything but about to get a maxx especially now that they came out with the v2 which comes with the widemaxx kit already and is a little longer

awesome video i have the brushless slash and the maxx have the orange body and flare body i like my maxx little more and i upgrade my slash i have metal shock and 80w shock oil and i took the rustler 4x4 brushless tires and put on my slash and looks awesome and have three bodys for the slash snap-on tools body and red and white and the blue and white thinking about getting the pink and white and black thanks for video

I got the brushed granite off a friend for 50$ and god... that thing is literally indestructible 🤣 I also have a slash but the e revo 2.0 is by far my favorite rc ATM. Everyone says they’re unreliable but the only thing I’ve broken in over a year is tires doing a double backflips 🤷🏼‍♂️

My slash vxl 4x4 tire nut did same thing but my maxx esc blew its fuse and the diff stripped and I'm not a hard basher ..thought I'd go arrma so bought felony and vortex ...screws are terrible on motor mount on felony ,stripped 2nd change of gear , vortex too weak of an esc ..we need 1 to step up and make it worth our $ ..great vids ..keep them coming

Guys I was looking at taxxas stuff for the first time today. I thought it had to used with traxxas batteries and their special connections. I see you used an ec5 and a IC5 there. Did you wire in some different leads? Thanks

there are reasons i have a wide variety of r/c's 2wd and 4wd stampedes 2wd and 4wd ultimate slash, maxx v2, trx4 bronco, m41 plus some axial tamiya and acouple others i don't remember the brand of they are all fun and work great overall. but something i will say on the slash ultimate if using in sand the vxl even with esc and motor fans trying different gears it just needs a 1/8th scale esc and motor.

Only thing I had to do to my Traxxas/was the steering box gears went out so I fix those been through about 20 engines had to rebuild a transmission one-time cuz my bearings wind up going completely out and about to have to fix my shots been through four sets of tires jumping over my three-story house twice without breaking it and the original body I'm about to get it redone

I used to have a Slash that I upgraded A LOT and one thing that frustrated the hell out of me was those wheel hexes. They’re just completely inappropriate for the amount of torque going through them. They need to update them to a star pattern or something because they strip way too easily. The number of times I had to throw out wheels that were still in great condition but had stripped out… SMH. That’s one of the reasons I ended up selling that car. I just felt like it was designed to fail so that you have to spend money on parts. I don’t mind buying new wheels when they wear out but I don’t want to have to constantly buy new parts just because of poor design.

I own the slash 4x4 ultimate and it the best thing i ever got.

is there a option to get the traxxas slash with xt90 ??? i only see it with the id connector ??? :) love ur vids ;)

I'm going to say the Traxxas Maxx because I had a 2014 stampede that I constantly have to work on

My 6yr old wants to know if you ever did launch the Lasernut off the BIG black ramp in Hong Kong. I thought you mentioned in a previous video that you had or were going to, but then we never saw it. And, if you would give a shout out to Finn, it would blow his mind! We watch all your videos, but first time posting a message. We have 2 Wltoys 124019 (1 is upgraded to brushless), and 1 lasernut.

My favorite still the old 1:16 Traxxas Slash 4wd

I have both, the maxx is a better truck but it's also alot more expensive, as it sits, theirs is about 800. So they aren't really in the same price range. Love them both though, sometimes the slash is just so satisfying to drive.

Iv'e got the standard brushed 2wd slash as my first hobby grade rc couple months ago enjoying the hell out of it on 2s even fun upgrading it with lcg kit doesn't flip as much now and have been eyeing of the traxxas maxx or slash ultimate as a second car feel like the maxx wins out just because something a bit different to play with but my only gripe is i bought the ez-peak charger and it only charges upto 3s would it still be worth getting the maxx to just run it on 3s only until i wanted to go 4s?.

I have got a traxxas slash 4x4 for over 2 years now. I have had a lot of fun with it but now I am selling it and buying a traxxas maxx. I started on a rustler like 5 years ago but I got to the slash because it is 4x4. I raced a lot with my dad who has got a slash as well and for racing this is the car. what we missed is jumping, we know the slash can do it as well but your car will get damaged. if you want a slash and have the money, you should buy the ultimate because I don't and broke over 5 wishbones and on the ultimate it won't break as quick as the normal version.

Losi doesn't like supporting customers for long with parts. Give it a year or two and the same will happen to LMT

When have these two RCs ever been comparable? It’s like saying “can’t decide” over the losi 5ive t or the traxxas stanpede

There was a time i was going to get the Slash, but the UDR was released about the same time i was going to get it. Got the UDR instead. Never had an interest in the Maxx or even the X-Maxx and still dont.

Maxx or e-revo 2.0?

Love the slash. Bought our first Traxxas RC car a few days ago to help keep us sane during the lockdown in the backyard. Does the Ultimate have an Aerial? I almost destroyed ours while flipping it.

You guys need to take the lasernut and xmaxx here, the lasernut might be perfect for the rough stuff and I’m sure the xmaxx will dominate

These rc cars must bring to Peru Huancayo like the xmaxx 8s of 14.8v these cars are the maximum they must bring it yes or yes

The Maxx is great but you have to install the widemaxx kit for sure.

I love my sledgehammer tires on maxx. As soon as l got the Hoss. I ordered the 3.8 for the maxx. On my second set now love them.l think l may have recommended them to yous in your first maxx vid. Check it out.!!👍👍

I have the stock Maxx, I haven't ran an RC since I was a kid so I bought a couple 3s batteries to start and it is stable enough on grass and dirt. Definitely want to upgrade tires before I get 4s batteries!

how fast is it on 3s?

@@MOC25 I've never checked myself, but you should get about 40mph on 3s and you can do 50mph or more on 4s. It's not the fastest, but it's a really durable basher.
