RPM arms have arrived - should I re run the speed test across all 3 batteries with the supplied speed pinion gear? You decide - let me know down below...

Get down to business we have all seen other speed videos. I want to see a "launch" if your going home and your car isn't broken? Well you need to plug in another battery and try harder! Quit being a lame and punch it!

The E-Revo is a great car and you can hook two of them up for a longer runtime as long as they aren’t the lipo batteries, which I do not use because who really wants to learn all about like batteries, how to charge, how to storm them, how to use them, how to keep them cool, how to balance them. I don’t need all of that. I just like to drive my RC car so I went for the NIMH, two $19.00 batteries apiec, and I have as much fun as anyone does with this car running on lipo bat

Your Merv is crying out for a RPM front bumper. Piled mine into a lamp pole straight on at nearly full speed on 2 NiMhs in series. Yeah it broke the chassis nose off and cashed in the front diff halves. But thats it! $21 and even the metal gear servo survived. Bumper still rockin on.

I had one of these and had to sell it. It was great when it ran. But after 3 rear diffs and 1 front diff I couldn’t handle tearing it apart anymore. It’s a pain to change them. I even shimmed it and it still stripped the gears.

My favorite 1/16 scale also my favorite large rc is the erevo 2.0. All around great cars. I’m shocked you’re stripping gears? I have 5 of these and no gear stripping but I have older ones. Great video! Yes diagrams are horrible lol. I run higher c rating. Stopped using Traxxas batteries. You will notice a big difference. 👍

I love my 1/16 erevo . I gave a lot done to my revo I have right at 400 dollars in upgrades on it I have more in my 1/16 than my 1/10 erevo. But I truly absolutely love the 1/16 . But get a shims for the diffs and you won't have that problem you can run on 3s the hole time.

  • @Tacoexplorer

I think you forgot to mention shimming the diffs. My son has one and I only ran the stock batteries NiMH batteries never lipos. 6 months after running got a clicking in the diffs. I was surprised I had to shim the diffs just running NiMH batteries. Last week I put one shim in the front diff and two shims in the rear diff. Clicking is gone. Want to get 2s lipo next for him. Also I installed 2.2 proline Trencher tires. Highly recommend them!

Happy Christmas! Ah that’s interesting as I’ve not needed to shim them (yet). Santa delivered Fastrax wheels - will do a vid - they look awesome and I think are similar size to the Proline so I can see why you’d recommend them - they look awesome and will lift the truck just enough for better off road running. The 2S battery is fantastic - we’ve got two - I thoroughly recommend going and getting one ASAP 😊😊👍👍

I bought the wheelie bar and then we got the LED light kit, but they can't really be used together with the rear tail lights. I wonder if anyone has figured out another way to mount the rear LED taillights so they can be used with the wheelie bar?

@@pgrcplus It is, it just overheats really fast, so you can only get one or two runs in safely. On another channel he's been upgrading his, put 4S in and 1:1 gear ratio, got to 71MPH, but only can do one run before it overheats and shuts down.
