Yes it's true - I said brushless when obviously the word I meant to say was brushed. The motor in the car is brushed.

That car was locked to the pavement. Has really good speed for a brushed motor. A very nice looker. Traxxas seems to be upping their game lately.

slebdad this car is much lower quality Than other traxxas cars. lots if cheap plastic parts such as the steering. and very expensive

Just seems that even the plastic they are using is stronger than their old stuff. I am waiting to see how the scaler is the TX-4. It is coming with most every option available.

That is a very nice looking car!!

I have the exact same car & love driving it. It's fast enough to be a lot of fun to race without being stupid fast. To me this is the perfect speed for realistic racing. Awesome car!

yeah - they did it brushed to appeal to a larger customer base on price. It's plenty fast for anyone new to cars and if you are into the hobby already just drop a brushless in it or wait for the next version.

I really kind of wish Traxxas had done an XO-1 compatible version of the Ford GT body, or a new version with the F-GT body.

Nice hooby shop :-) Love the editing at 4:18. I had pre ordered one awhile ago. Then canceled the order due to May was so far away. But now its almost here and so is the car. So I might just have to get one anyway even though most everything I own is 1/8 scale..Great looking car might be a shelf queen if i get it who knows lol..

it'll be great as a drift car - just need the wheels. Yes there will be lots of aftermarket parts for it.

it's pretty sweet. grips good but will drift nice as well. it's slower than I expected but a few upgrades and it would fly! "local shop has one"

it's definitely a looker - great in person.

I miss involved with RC. Quit back in 2005 and came back May 2015, but had medical issues and only got about 50 packs run through. Goofed around a bit summer 2016 (5 packs), but wife is still recovering from an auto accident. Also living in Alaska is not very RC friendly unless you have your own property. Plan to grab all my RC's from my buddies place this weekend now that we have a garage of our own. PS. You sound a lot like Jang.

I would buy one a go overkill with it; change to a 2400 kv brushless motor, 6s 10000mah lipo, low spoiler, lower height, custom front splitters, add small vents on the sides for airflow to the motor, and top speed test the thing!

That is a dope body on a dope car. It is like a Romulan warbird inspired side scoops or whatever those things are called. Unfortunately I find on-road driving much less exciting than off-road driving. I need to bash around with other drivers on some kind of track in order to hold my interest. If it doesn't get in the air somehow I get bored pretty quick as well. I have had too many onroaders sitting around to know my habits just don't lean toward that but they are fun. A properly tuned onroader on the right track is such a nice technical exercise. Actually driving the X0-1 is pretty cool if you have the space to get it to 100MPH. It is amazing to see it get hunkered down with the downforce built-into the chassis and body. I guess it is time for me to pull out the X0-1 from hibernation. Have them let you drive an 1/8th scale buggy...just as planted onroad but can get air and take a beating :)

yeah I can see that - for cars I still think rally is the most fun. You can't beat dirt. And anything that can jump or get bashed and keep going is a win. This is show body for sure; I'd be afraid of smashing it into other cars. lol I like how you always get back to that 1/8 buggy....

What's difference between brush and brushless??

The electric 4-TEC definitely deserved a remodel after all these years. I loved the first one because it felt more like a real car rather than a twitchy piece of paper with wheels. I still have the original and will be getting this one too.

I live traxxas and hope to get one this summer, not exactly sure of the type wether a truck car or jeep but i want like a 1/10th and just get a diesel battery or two for it and enjoy

The car really looks Awesome, though well.. no see-through windows (is it really only me that wants that?) Should it have come with brushless? Maybe.. The Nihm battery it comes with though :O (over here at least)

I have an old Ferrari F1 rc car but not really into them. That Ford looks and performs really well. I thought thumbnail was real one!

Nice looking car, I just bought a vaterra v100s on sale and on road is a lot more fun than I expected. This is gonna get a lot of views, it's the first proper running video on youtube! Were you on 2s lipo or 7cell nimh?

That's a sweet-looking car, Traxxas did a great job with this one. I'm just curious why they went all out with the back end-especially on the tail lights (I heard they're going to offer as an accessory-an LED kit for them)-but the front end seems like they sorta gave up with just headlight decals. What's the point of illuminated tail lights but no illuminated headlights?

sure - you could do a lot of different 1/10 car bodies for it. It just uses standard mounting posts.

that's a good way to think about it - to me it's pretty quick for a brushed car. People will certainly be dropping in brushless power systems but it's fun as it is.

I think $229 is a far more attractive price. Thanks for the video!

Hang on so presumably the guys from the hobby store have seen what you've done to your X-Maxx and yet they still let you drive their pristine demo car !? I was fully expecting you to try some jumps with it but well done for behaving and taking it back undamaged :-) Does look really nice but probably not for long if you owned it !
