With the help of the Galician company Chymar (Hermanos Touza), CatchCam has been deployed from the squid trawler Golden Chicha, in the Falkland Islands.
While the target species is the Patagonian Squid, this underwater footage focuses on the gear deployment instead, showing the trawl gear reaching deeper and deeper depths. During the whole deployment, the CatchCam camera reached depths of up to 200metres.
Underwater footage like this can support the skipper during fishing operations and improve the efficiency of the trawl vessel.
