Travis Tritt - Smoke in a Bar [Official Video]

Ойын-сауық

Travis' rich vocals go back to his traditional country roots, pining for humbler times when the world was not so fast-moving and simple things weren’t overlooked or taken for granted.
Director: David Abbott
Shot on location in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia
--------------------------
"Smoke in a Bar" is the second single off Travis Tritt's much-anticipated album, "Set In Stone," which marks his first original full-length studio album in over a decade.
"Set In Stone" drops on May 7, 2021, and is available for pre-save/pre-add at shor.by/TravisTritt
Released through Big Noise Music Group and produced by Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, The Highwomen, Sturgill Simson), the new album features 11 new songs, eight of which were co-written by Tritt.
On "Set in Stone," the Grammy winner delivers a quintessential album with a touch of Americana and Roots. Travis pays homage to all sides of his musical personality along with the trademarks of his originality. The new album is described by Tritt as “getting back to a no-frills classic
outlaw-country sound.
Travis Tritt’s albums, seven of which are certified platinum or higher, have amassed more than 30 million sales, two GRAMMY® Awards, four CMA Awards, including the CMA Horizon Award (now known as the New Artist Award); a Billboard Music Award for Top New Artist, an invitation to become a member of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry and a devoted fan base that has filled venues coast-to-coast. He is also dubbed one of “The Class of ‘89,” which includes Country music superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black, and Alan Jackson, all of whom dominated the charts in the ‘90s.
Among his 11 studio albums and numerous charted singles are five number ones and 20 Top 10 hits, including “Help Me Hold On,” “Anymore,” “Can I Trust You with My Heart,” “Foolish Pride,” “Best of Intentions,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” “Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde,” “Here’s A Quarter,” “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive,” and more.
Additionally, throughout his extraordinary career, his talents have crossed over into film and tv, where he appeared in Rio Diablo (1993), The Cowboy Way (1994), Tales from the Crypt (1995), Sgt. Bilko (1996), Fire Down Below (1997), Outlaw Justice (1999), Touched By An Angel (1999), Blues Brothers (2000), Yes, Dear (2004), Brother’s Keeper (2013), Forever My
Girl (2018), and more.

I just found this song today, and I am totally speechless…. Travis Tritt has to be one of the greatest real country artist we still have today. I am so thankful I found this song, Thank you Travis all of your music….. I’m literally lost the words. Thank you, thank you.

First and foremost, Travis Tritt has always been my favorite country singer. Singer, songwriter and an excellent guitar player. This man/artist should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame. If you get a chance to see him live, do it. You will not be disappointed. It's a sad reminder that in the USA you are judged on your words about telling people how much you love this country. I am not woke, I am awake to what's happening. Apparently, so is he.

In 1921 people dreamed of leaving the countryside and moving to "the city". 100 years later America's cities are filled with broken people and broken promises, while the countryside and the people who inhabit it, have never looked more beautiful.

Thanks for telling the truth. It doesn't happen much anymore. Please keep writing good songs. It gives us old school people hope. Maybe it will give young people see what this great country means and the people that fought for it really means. They need to understand freedom is not free and it is their Time to protect it and yes be willing to fight for the freedom that we gave to them.

I have been a fan for 30 years and you just keep getting better and better. You have always kept it real and I appreciate every thing you have done. Your music has pulled me through some tough times. Many. many, many times I have sat and would have sworn that you were speaking straight to my soul. Keep it real my friend. If you ever take a notion to stop by the Carolina mountains and sit on the porch and have a few you have an open invitation. It's on me. I owe you way more that a steak and a few beers.

Travis, I wish I could shake your hand and thank you in person for creating the best music this ‘ole world over has ever heard. I feel so sorry for anyone who hasn’t heard your heartfelt voice! I wish that ‘ole Waylon could have been around to listen to the songs by you that he has never heard! I have cried many tears and my heart is broken because I live in assisted living and can’t get to see you sing in person. I am 80 years old and that has always been my unfulfilled wish. I know you won’t see this yourself but I wish you would come here to sing for all of us but I guess you can’t. So sad I will die and never have gotten to meet you and to hear your perfect “moves my heart to love people more” voice… Breaks my heart. We would be so encouraged to fight to live longer to hear more of your new songs as they come out! And Travis, since you won’t have the time to actually read this, I guess my wish will never come true because I am just a nobody who loves you and has a deep respect for you and your wonderful music. These people here, let alone me, will be greatly deprived not to have you here to grace us with your presence, and to sing for us. Oh well….

I'm old enough that I talk of my youth and look at the new world and wonder at what has come. The world moves so fast and the "Want it now" generation has gotten what it wanted. But at what cost? Suicide and murder rates are up, or are they? Or is it just because we no longer have to wait for 6 o'clock to get the truth and now lies travel at the speed of the internet and the news has to catch up. Even if you don't like country music. The metaphor is real and a blazing truth to young and old alike. A new single from Travis Tritt... Can't help but shed a few tears listening to this one.

@Travis Tritt Omg. I'm so excited you commented I'm about to faint. You played the Orhstrom Theater here in Winchester VA a few years back just you acoustic was absolutely amazing. Then you were @ the Weinberg really nice theater in Frederick MD same type show. I love those type shows. You can play anything banjo, guitar on & on & on. What talent. I loved you, Hank Jr. & Marty Stuart doing the song Hank wrote that you sang @ Waylon's funeral no words can give it enough praise. God Bless you all. Wanna play for my 60th birthday party May 1st? It would be the best gift I could ever had. My mom died 3 years ago we went to every concert you did in the Northern VA area, Jiffy Lube used to be Nissan Pavillion, Merriweather, Wolfram you nailed Copperhead Road @ that one. Keep on staying true to you & keeping real country alive for us badass girls.
