That was s great song!! We’ve been married almost 50 years. Our rule has always been to never go to bed mad at each other. We talk, apologize and make up! Works for us!

Me and my wife went to bed mad once. It was awful. Didn't sleep well. Now, I don't care if we have to stay up til 1 in the morning to get it resolved. Tired in the morning, but I feel better about it.

Definitely one of Travis' best songs. Very powerful, and accurate lyrics. Pride can be a double edge sword

I'm telling you, if you like Travis, you'll love a country/southern rock/Christian band called "Third Day!" Singer Mac Powell sounds very similar to Travis. It was my first patreon request on Adventures of TNT. I wish T would have reacted to it with you! He said he liked it! 👍

Travis Tritt and his cohort for a few years, Marty Stewart, were at the top 10 of my country list in the 90's. The late 80's up to the mid 90's came out with a big group of new great country artists... ala George Strait, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Marty Stewart, Toby Keith, Tracy Lawrence, Clint Black... the list goes on for a while 😛

btw, don't hate me... that was just some of the guys. There were a lot of girls too... ala Reba, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis... and on and on.

My best friend showed me this song a couple of years ago. I liked the lyrics, but wasn't feeling it. Then a few months later, I listened to it again, and I could feel it and started lovinstrumentality. It's weird, but sometimes I can't enjoy a song on the first listen. Sometimes it takes multiple listens. Or maybe it just takes me being in the right mood.. Although part of it might be that I need to be able to feel where the song is going instrumentally. I'd make a terrible KZread reactor. 😂

The thing that most people miss in this song is the dynamic differences between men and women when dealing with emotion. To be honest, this song barely scratches the surface when it comes to those differences, and it does candy-coat a bit in favor of women giving them a "pass" of sorts by painting men as stubborn and stoic while the woman is some how still vulnerable yet trying to retain her dignity by crying and not calling. Too bad there wasn't any context (besides the video) that showed the events leading up to the song. Did she pick the fight? Did he? Was it something so mundane as taking out the garbage or was it something that was way worse?
