Travis Alexander's last speech April 24 2008 at the Fort Collins PPLU (Unedited Version)

Комедия

This is Travis Alexander's last speech at the Fort Collins PPLU just a little over a month before he was brutality murdered by Jodi Arias on June 4, 2008. He wasn't at his best because we both got sun burned from spring snow skiing that day and only had 2 hours of sleep, but a great speech nonetheless.

Aaww, poor Travis. Thank you for posting this David Hughes. From this video, I can see that Travis was a great speaker & a good person. He was very comfortable in front of the audience & he put humor into his speech. That was great. How strange that he said "... we don't know what day is our final day here on this earth, but what is certain, is tomorrow is 1 day closer." Yeah little did he know that in less than 2 months, he would be dead. How horribly sad for him. I love that he spoke about God & Heaven. He obviously had SO much hope for an abundant life for himself & for others....and instead he got brutally slaughtered. God Bless his family.

#TravisAlexander's death was not for nothing , Let's Allocute for TRAVIS by watching this last speech and using it to better something , anything in our lives and meeting up back here by April 13 th and sharing what we did to honor him the very day she gets her life sentence, I don't want to mention her name anymore in the same sentence has his , he doesn't deserve that anymore , he was way more deserving of something much greater then that , say and do , I will be better tomorrow because I got to know Travis Alexander today 💙💙💙

Thanks for posting Dave. I always wanted to hear one of Travis' motivational speeches. The world obviously lost someone who contributed compassion, intelligence, and love. However, he left many amazing lessons for other people everywhere to learn from. I am sorry for your loss and justice will prevail.

I can't stand these types of seminars. There are videos of him in a dorky kind of way and listening to him and Jodi's sex crap made him sound and look unpleasant but here he is very kind and hardly the man she made him out to be. They were the ultimate fatal attraction- to say the least they didn't bring out the best in one another

Mr. David, thank u for posting this clip. I'm sitting here in Cairo - Egypt & I have learnt a few things from Travis's inspirational speech. He may have been talking to PPLU crowd but there are quite a few things he said which apply to everyone. I particularly liked the line, "Go to bed a better man than when u woke up". i also learnt from his speech as to when he bought the camera. This camera he bought from Best Buy turned out to be just that - a best buy. Had it not been for this camera the butcher might've gotten away with murder.

Watching this for the first time today. The day Jodi didn't get the death penalty. Decided to see if I could find one of Travis's videos to see and hear him as a motivational speaker. Yes, he made mistakes. We all do, but this shows what kind of man he really was. I couldn't believe at 29:00 when he said he just bought a camera at Best Buy the day before. It must be the camera that turned out being the evidence that busted Jodi. Wow. Rest in Peace, Travis. May God be with your family at this time!

wow what a good speaker. it was sad when he talked about not knowing how long we have left on this earth. I then read the date of this speech and got a little emotional cause 2 months and some change is when he was taken...i can't imagine why someone like him would ever be victimized. I am glad the killer is in jail but people like him who came from nothing and had his kind of integrity and rose to be the wonderful and successful man are rare. I know he was writing a book and was wondering did he finish it?

I'm actually crying watching this, that someone so amazing was taken from this world, and so brutally. His life was stolen, so UNFAIR! Thanks for this video, it's very uplifting to hear Travis speak. He was truly unique, the way he spoke, made people laugh, became very successful, and encouraged others. These words he spoke can heard by us though, now even after his death, and that can never be taken away. His words can still encourage people and help people. Thank you again, David. What a priviledge it must be to have known this great individual. Travis R.I.P., We know you are in Heaven with God's Angels!

I have been following the murder trial and after I watched Travis give this speech it became even more apparently clear how delusional Hodi Airass was if she thought she ever had a chance of marrying Travis Alexander ..it would be like comparing a $500 'Junker' to a 'Mercedes'. The 'Junker' is always breaking down, barely making it down the road, always calling a tow-truck for help, always needing jump starts & relying on other to get it running, in need of repairs but never maintained or fixed but the exterior looks good so maybe when its sold it will be an easy sell ..the owner will keep the focus on the paint job & nice rims. Then we have the 'Mercedes' not a high performance sports car ,but this sedan is of good quality, this car has character, had quality engine & well maintained, it may of had a rough beginning with the 1st owner but it was driven with care, it had a few fender benders but always used top notch fuel & had frequent oil changes, it got a few flat tires but always got running again regardless of the obstacles or windy roads ahead, it was reliable & dependable, in time that Mercedes was going to have someone who would consider it a keeper as they would respect it, cherish it & love it till the end but unfortunately the 'Junker' was not a happy car ...burning oil & leaking oil everywhere it went, causing accidents in every town, responsible for hit & runs but the cars owner was negligent. Eventually due to the lack of maintenance it was an accident waiting to happen. One day that car went out of control & caused a serious accident & the 'Mercedes' was a write-off & unfortunately was beyond repair ..the Junker is barely running and on its last legs ..not sure how long it will last it could be 1yr or 12yrs ? So remember you are responsible for your own maintenance, its like owning a car ...learn about it , see how things work , learn to fix it yourself when possible & when it needs serious repairs , take it to a shop & get the professionals to look at it ...they know what they're doing ..swallow your pride & say 'I need help' ...there are many ways to keep it running good that are cost efficient ..it just takes knowledge & experience, also you can learn form others& service manuals + with the proper time spent on it & with your love & care + regular maintenance & upgrades it will run great & win races ..it mite not always win but it will finish & maybe it will win the next one ..there can only be '1' winner of a race & just because you're not going to win that race doesn't mean you can't enter another race & try & win it & if it was meant to be ..it was meant to be ...it depends if your car was well taken care of as a determining factor in every race & just because you're not going to win this 1 race doesn't mean you have to cause an accident & prevent the lead car ..the 'Mercedes' from ever winning another race, that's the definition of a poor loser !! Well, you got banned form driving & will never enter a race again !! I don't need to tell you who the Mercedes was & who the Junker was. -R.I.P. Travis-

From this video of TVA, I can see what a special human being he truly was. It's such a tragedy that he was taken from this world especially at his prime...30! I've seen everything and heard everything from TV and I do not believe anything that devil has to say. I believe Travis went to his Mormon heaven despite the sins that i will not mention. We're all sinners! But it is up to the Lord to forgive and I believe Travis is forgiven by the almighty. Chris, Will you be there for some of the retrial of the penalty phase? When you said that day outside of court that you just wanted your buddy back but nothing will bring him back, that absolutely broke my heart. Just be strong and hang in there. Justice will prevail! I wish I was fortunate enough to meet Travis...we need more people like him on this planet. That witch will get hers...Travis is now in peace and has no idea what's going on. I feel very sorry for all his friends and family. What a travesty.

He has changed more lives than he probably ever thought possible. Such a shame he was taken from the world so soon.. I looked at this Video after I seen videos on KZread about the trial in refrence to his death. Its a great tragedy that he was taken from life simply too soon. It seems quite an injust and another injustice would be too just give her life in prision. I am not even in favor of the Death Penelty but watching all ive seen it simply the best based on the life she took! I am sorry for his Family and I pray for you all! Closure you may not get but peace you may knowing she cant hurt anyone else!
