Traverse Town - Kingdom Hearts
Ойындар
The Traverse Town theme from the original version of Kingdom Hearts. I prefer this one over the 1.5 version, just like most of the songs from the KH OST. The piano just sounds too quiet in the 1.5 version, it's almost non-existent.
Sorry for the random pops throughout the song, they weren't there originally when I uploaded the video, so I guess KZread messed something up. It REALLY bothers me, to be honest.

It would have reach of the charts for both Disney and KH fans. Imagine the Twilight Town themes (whether it's Sora or Roxas' themes for both worlds) playing on a cozy afternoon cafe during nightfall, and then switched over to Traverse Town's theme during nightime. The dream of a KH fan.

I remember around the time the original KH showed up in our house. I went to the mall one night with my family, and while we were walking around, I swear I could hear this playing in the back of my mind. It’s a small thing, but one of my favorite childhood memories. I always said that the original game was the one that held the most magic and the soundtrack had a lot to do with it because I’m sure that was the first time any of us had heard anything of that scope.
When I was riding the trolley in my city, I played this theme and it went surprisingly well with the sunset in the city
Why does therapy cost money when this is for free on KZread?
This song always comforts me. It makes me fondly remember just walking around Traverse Town relaxing while listening to the music. I spent way too much time walking around the 1st district haha
I'm not even really a kingdom hearts fan, but this track has always stuck in my head since whenever I encountered it in KH1
For how large this town is/time spent there doing things, it's amazing they could get away with a song that loops after 34 seconds... but it works. I do wish there was an additional section though, because...it's freakin' short!
Summer nights as a kid, I used to turn on the game and go to traverse town just to fall asleep to this song
my big brother gave me his copy of this game when kh2 came out. i was just 5 years old. it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. the story and the characters absolutely fascinated me. and now its my favorite game of all time, hands down. no other game can make me feel the way kingdom hearts can. bless the souls on this earth who created this absolute masterstroke of a game
ah so many memories of traverse town. it gives me tears at the thought
After a lot of stuff that happened to me as a person through life, this soundtrack just throw me to a time where i was thinking about simpler things, i usually don't take nostalgia bias to seriously, but KH is one of those exceptions that you have to make
I'll never forget losing my mind when I first laid eyes on this game, disney character and final fantasy characters in the same game? It didnt seem real. But then I got the game for my birthday and finally made it to traverse town. As a 9 year old boy I flipped the hell out when I saw Squall, then Donald and Goofy lol

Am I the only who think Traverse town is the ideal Christmas city? The colors, the lights, the sky full of stars.... if you put Santa on a sleigh with deers and presents I think he can fit perfectly, also a huge christmas tree inside the main square in front of the clock tower of 2nd district.😅😂 Also the theme leaves you a sensation of comfort, safe and warm.
I feel like riku walking down the street honestly and also I live by the beach and our downtown looks and feels like traverse town especially since it's a attraction town and at nightime. Life is good never forget folks.
This honestly helps restore hope that this world can become a better one for everyone. It reminds me of a much better time in my life, when things made sense and were simpler. Thank you for uploading this💚

This song makes me feel so peace and take me back in time and it was such amazing game in my childhood i could listen to this and fall asleep to it again so peaceful and memorable so last words got it memorized
My oldest homie recommended me this game. We were about 8 years old when this game came out. He let me borrow it on my PS2. I have been hooked since maybe 2003. Love and miss you George. You made a life long fan out of me.
I finished playing this game a couple months ago and this is somehow already nostalgic to me. This really is a magical game
I only started playing these games 3 MONTHS AGO, and I already feel nostalgic. Amazing how a PS2 game in the year 2022 can still transport me to another world. It’s also pretty bittersweet for me, because I only enjoy KH1 and KH2. The rest of the series is just needlessly, frustratingly complicated in my opinion. I stopped caring. So I think part of the reason why I’m extra attached to the first 2 is because they’re all that I have. I want to love the others, but I just can’t. So the adventure ended prematurely for me.

The other games aren’t even that complicated. I never understood why people say that all the time. The only game that was overly complicated was dream drop distance with its time travel bs. Everything else was just far-fetched and needed some sort of imagination and a will to just except what is told, like the data stuff in recoded. But everything is still easily understandable if you are actually attentive. And I love KH exactly for that. It could be a boring „we had this a thousand times already“-story but instead it tells a tale unlike any other. Iam extremely thankful that KH went this route even though some couldn’t keep up with it.

@@TimmysohnLP I can understand the plot of the other KH games perfectly fine, I just think it’s needlessly complicated. (As in more complicated than it really needs to be.) I feel like Tetsuya Nomura just adds as much stuff to the story as possible just for the sake of…having more stuff. I don’t enjoy it. I still have high respect him though, he works his ass off and clearly loves his job. By the way, thank you for actually typing out a thoughtful response, rather than just saying “stfu you’re wrong” or something. I’m glad you enjoy the series
Just completed the game for the first time a few days ago. I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG HOLY COW. As people have been saying in the comments, even though I only heard this song recently, it's incredibly nostalgic. It perfectly fits the level, and is filled with that ever glorious Disney magic!! Traverse Town had a BEAUTIFUL atmosphere, it feels like how Disney World feels at night, and that is a HUGE compliment. This is one of my new favorite tracks of all time! I can listen to it on repeat for ages and never get sick of it! I legitimately can't think of another song I can say that about. Oh man, it's so beautiful.

considering both kingdom hearts 1 kingdom hearts chain of memories and kingdom hearts 2 are all one story i don't see how kingdom hearts 1 is better nor is kingdom hearts two better than kingdom hearts 1. it ultimately boils down to Sora's goal throughout all three games. he wants to return to the islands with his friends. only kairi returned to the islands in the first game and the other two games were of sora trying to find riku and bring him back home to destiny islands he never found riku in chain of memories but finally found him in the end of Kingdom hearts 2 and after the final battle with xemnas returned to destiny islands with riku finally accomplishing his goal that the set out to do in the very beginning. so i don't see any difference in the storys of 1 and 2 because like i said they are only parts of one story.

I have a 8 year old boy and we beat this game together. Every time I hear this song, I immediately get teary eyed and emotional. We made some wonderful memories together
My older brother would play this game at my grandmother’s house and I would watch (I was too young to hold a controller/play a game well at the time). I remember how he would be on this level while I was half fall asleep or reading or eating. I would also back seat game with him too while he was playing and we would talk, laugh, be amazed at the graphics, and I’d get excited to see Disney characters fighting evil. It’s a very fond memory of mine since I don’t get to see/hear my brother as much anymore. Kingdom Hearts helped create this memory and this song helps me remember it.
I only started playing this series a few weeks ago but hearing this song already makes me nostalgic. Playing KH2 right now and I actually miss Traverse Town
This tune has me traversing through Disney Springs at night
Listening to the themes for Twilight town and Traverse town back to back, it's impressive how they feel connected by two sides of a coin, a spiritual sequel. Traverse town is completely upbeat, and lively, perfect as a starting theme of a journey. Twilight town is the opposite. It's slow, melancholic, but still has that warmth that Traverse town has. Despite it also being the first town of KH2, it still signals the end of a journey, not the start. Yoko Shimomura should be proud of her work in these games. No short list of memorable and very well composed tracks in this series.
Donald sitting on the lower level just hits me. Not sure why. I think it invokes a certain feeling of wonder and adventure that is strictly Disney.

I made this the hold music for my job. Its been almost a year and they still haven't noticed.
This is the song I thought of when I was humming it. Goes to show how much KH has mean to me in my childhood years
If ever there was a song that could instantly calm me down, it's this song. I've loved it since I was a child.
This is my go to study and work music. Brings back so many memories
due to circumstances, i was only able to get this game; and its sequel; from the second-hand section at my local game shop a few years after it had released. This song still makes me emotional, as the game was the only comfort of that year for me. It's just so good; it warms your heart up inside; with its own cool trinity action.
This song literally forces me into that ratatouille Food critic "childhood flashback" moment ... The moment i hear it i am immediately sent back to that child version of me ... Also almost cry ...
I've only just begun getting into kingdom hearts, the only game I played was Birth by Sleep on the psp when I was a kid. I've recently started seeing videos show up on my feed and I'm taking it as a sign I should start playing the games from the beginning and go through the full journey. This track may not have the same emotional impact for me yet that it does for so many other commenters but it is a beautifully made song that I listen to on repeat while I draw and it really helps to inspire me and help me wind down. Update: I have since started my Kingdom Hearts journey, and have proudly beaten KH1 and have begun the treacherous journey through Re:CoM. Now I understand the nostalgia, the comfort that this song brings to so many people. It really is the theme of respite, the sound of returning home to somewhere safe and comfortable after facing the unknown :)
Replaying chain of memories and i could sit here for hours i love this theme ❤
who feel the same way when I was playing this master peace, Traverse town felt like my home and I always go back to it when I stuck or just want to visit my hommes with the Nostalgic music
An important part of my childhood growing up never looked back after playing kingdom hearts I'm glad this game series was created and won't end anytime soon
This song is in one of my Spotify playlists. So much nostalgia. 🖤
Crazy seeing all these comments from people outlining EXACTLY how this makes me feel. All the different stories, but all the same thing. I was a teen in high school playing this for the first time and this literally transported me back to those memories and feelings. Ooof
I remember taking my PS2 to my grandmother’s to play KH on her television. She loved watching it because of the Disney characters and the music, and she would start whistling this theme in particular when it was on
