Traveling to TUNISIA! - AMAZING AIRBNB and trying STREET FOOD in Tunis! السفر إلى تونس
This is day 1 of our trip to Tunisia!
We departed from Stockholm Sweden and flew to Tunis via Istanbul, which meant a 10-hour night layover. On our first day in Tunis we settled into our BEAUTIFUL Airbnb, which was a stunning 19th-century apartment in traditional Tunisian style.
We then took the local train to the northern province of Sidi Bou Said where we had some Tunisian street food snacks! Having been on the move for quite a long time, we quickly got very tired and decided to head back to our Airbnb for some well-deserved sleep - and to prepare for a GIANT two-day food tour of the Tunis old town/medina!

I can understand that very well! I love Tunisia and Tunisian food and Tunisian people!
next time you should coordinate with one of the locals so he will help you discover the old city and all the monument because you missed a lot of beautiful places and food .Actually you saw like 0.1% of Tunisia
Actually that wasn’t Brik it’s called “Samsa” it takes the same shape as Brik but smaller and sweet meanwhile Brik is salty ^_^
@IdrissNeumann

Samsa is not really about the sweetness or saltiness but about the triangle form. Samsa exists in many countries and not only in Tunisia (Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Mediterranean Europe India/Pakistan/Sri Lanka/etc where it's called "Samoussa").

Idriss Neumann i wasn’t talking about samsa in general i was talking only about the Tunisian once since it’s a Tunisian food video and yes samsa in Tunisia can only mean sweetness if it’s salty and bigger then it’s Brika i don’t know where are u from but i hope u visit Tunisia someday I’m sure you will like Tunisian food

@@saradrissi4407 I'm from France and Algeria both. I've visited and worked in many Arab countries and yes I came many times in Tunisia and I love this country. I work with a Tunisian team for some projects in France and I decided to not come back and stayed in Tunisia during this difficult times. And yes you're right in Tunisia it only means a sweet treat that is shaped as a triangle. In marocco a very similar treat is called "briwat" and in Algeria briwat are most of times salty (with some meat or chicken). I also like a lot the Tunisian version with egg and tuna.

What i love about videos of people visiting Tunisia, is the comment section. It's full of people who see the beauty of this country. A small yet diverse and rich in history and culture. From Carthage, to star-wars, Muslims to Jews, desert to sea... I definitely recommend you to befriend some locals on the web before coming to any country. They'll show you the heart of the country, and you'll definitely save a lot of money avoiding travel agencies and tourist hunters. as for the policeman in the airport, he was just being way too cautious. A public bus is a fair ride to the city,
oh, dude, those videos looks so great I'm really happy to see those great and amazing people come to Tunisia like you and enjoy it hope you made fun in all time.

Quick tip though about Turkish airlines, If you have a layover of 10 hours or more they actually provide a hotel room for free, you just have to go and ask the counter for them to add you to the list.

Brilliant! Looking forward to watch more of your videos! I'll comment honestly as a fellow traveler, the policeman probably advised to take a taxi because of the pickpockets in the bus, but like anywhere else in the world, if you're alert enough you'll be fine, taking a taxi from the airport though, that's nothing short from a rip-off, hopefully you paid based on what the meter showed, otherwise, if you don't have much luggage, and don't want to take the bus, you can walk right out of the airport and take a taxi from there, they don't charge the exorbitant amounts the within premises taxis charge you.. That clothing hanging on the wall, it does have the looks of something traditional, but it's actually made out of a plastic-like bag 😅 And regarding those small Buddhas, it's just decoration, nothing to have with Tunisia.. Hopefully you guys enjoyed your stay! And keep a thought that there's so much more to see in Tunisia! Cheers!
welcome to tunisiaa
Nice video! Cause of that second sweet thing ( triangle )...it named SamSam ( the filling is a mix of crashed sesame, rose water and sugar ) and not Brik...Brik is a salty, fried triangle most of the time filled with an egg, tuna and potatoes. The Tunisian kitchen is so damn good

You should try chocolate bambaloni :3 half of it is dipped in melted chocolate and it's really good
Mate, Turkish Airlines offers a free hotel staying if you have 8 hours or more layover(international flights), you should have asked the help desk.
