You can totally change airlines and re-check your bags. No problem. But you HAVE to make sure you take off all the tags (and sometimes, I've had airlines place a smaller sticky tag on the side of my suitcase, too; gotta take that off as well). Those tags have barcodes and airport, city, and airline codes. If you left the Seattle/Hawaiian ones on your bags, even if you added your Boston/Delta tags to the mix, someone quickly sorting bags may see and/or scan the Seattle tag and totally miss the Boston tag, which means your bag would stay in Seattle bag purgatory and NOT make the plane to Boston. Fly whoever, whenever. Just always take off your tags LOL

Random q but do you replace your toothbrush 2-3 days after you’ve been on antibiotics for strep? I just got strep and my doctor told me to do this! If you use the same one you can reinfect yourself over and over, maybe that’s part of your problem! Love ya sis

Aw, Max is so sweet bringing you flowers! You have to have Diamond status to get free access to the Delta Sky Lounge. Changing airlines isn't the problem with tags. The problem is if you left the old Seattle tags on your luggage it would case confusion as to where your bags were supposed to go. As your bags move through the system they scan the tags to route them to where they need to go. If you had the old tags on them, they might scan them to Seattle again and they'd just sit there in the airport.

Watching in November 2020.... The things I would do to go back to normal times like these. Watching your videos give me so many great memories of what life used to be like, and how I hope it is again soon. Sending everyone who is struggling this year so much love. XOXO

changing airlines is no biggie, but you always have to take the printed bag tags off once you've picked up your bag. if you put multiple on it can mess with the system, your bags can get lost or confused on the back end and thats a super easy way to accidentally get your luggage lost or left behind. Thats probably what the airport employee was referring to.

Seattle is only 5 hours from me! Crazy that you all three were just over here haha.

You are def allowed to change airlines for connecting flights but you're not allowed have any tags on your bag besides the flight you're about to go on bc they go missing way easier!

if you have priority pass you get access to lounges all over! (if you have a credit card, like AmEx platinum you get it for free!)
