When I sang in public for the first time, I sang this and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I have family who fought in WW1 and WW2. Some are still currently fighting over seas.

I heard this some where and I really liked it. Today I was at the Community Games competition and a little girl sang this song. I was so memorised by it so the minute I got home I went straight on to the computer to find it.

right now this song holds a special place in my heart, waiting for my soldier to come home

This is wrong there is two choruses at the end of the song and for the first one of it, it doesn't say home it just goes into the chorus again!!!!!

my neice will be trying this song out in chicago il on jan 21st 2017.she has a amazing voice i my self know she can do it because she sound just like the dixie chics it is could the traveling solders. she had a brother in the services he served his time but notoutlong then was killed in a accident,so as for this song it reminds her so much of him, so you can say this is for him, knowing he is watching down on her doing this. kacie i know you can and will do great with this go for it and get what you deserve the best you can. i have faith in you.
