I wanted to add that when I put full rain covers on my ebike on the Quickr Stuff rack the covers acted like sails & put a ton of stress on the rack arms. I had to take them off. I now travel with just the handle bar covers.

Ebikes are also being developed to be more water resistant. But still better to be safe.

How wide you can go out of your vehicle width? It looks the rear end of the bike with the child seat is out by more than 6 inches. Thanks for the tips

That is a good question. Surely there are some wider vehicles on the road. We did travel with only the front Thule seat installed and on the way back - they were both in the trunk.

Motels and hotels are putting restrictions on bringing e bikes and batteries into the rooms. Some folks have had to resort to renting air b & b's in order to avoid this problem.

Thanks for sharing - I haven't seen this but doesn't surprise me. We always book a Airbnb or a first floor motel (I just don't ask questions).
