Travel Buddy Oven Cook Ups Ep 22 - Chicken & Corn Vol au Vents

Travel buddy cook up number 22, another dinner on the road. A long day at the office, 400kms each way to the job and 4 hours of work there, the things we do. The dinner and the stunning sunset made it worth it though. We have these Vol-au-vents at home, the kids absolutely love them and I thought they would work well on the road in the Travel Buddy and I was right, very simple and easy, but super tasty.

Ingredients:
• Hot Chook (feel free to cook your own)
• Corn
• Cheese
• White Sauce Pkt (you can make from scratch)
• Chees Sauce Pkt (you can make from scratch)
• Vol-au-vent shells (pick your size and number)
• Salt & Pepper to taste
Optional extras:
• Mushrooms
• Asparagus
• Peas
• Broccoli
• Bacon/ham
• Tuna
*Remember its not perfect, compared to the way you cook at home in your own oven, but it's all happening while your driving and saving you time when you arrive at your destination or for your lunch stop on the road. Keep trying different foods and times and see what works for you and your family.

@@theoffroadtradies1002 cooked for the first time in the 12v oven done ribs driving up to the sunny coast nearly 3 hours on about 150, meat fell off the bone!!! Can’t wait to head home now to try something else 🤣🤣

A little extravagant but some lobster tails cut up and some mornay sauce would go down a treat

Mate that's something I didn't think of but definitely worth a go, or even yabby tails if you are out bush.
Have to admit, was a little sus on them coming out crispy still but obviously they were well done mate.

These ones were from our local IGA, but we used to get them from Coles, they had 3 different sizes, the bigger ones are easier to use and make more of a meal.
What’s happened to the Ranger? Obviously I’ve missed something. Well you won’t be popping CV's anymore 👍

Ahh I won't miss the CV's that's for sure. I still have the ranger, but it is doing just local work around town as it's got 400000kms on the clock now and it needed a rest, had a few things starting to go wrong. I'll be doing a vid shortly of the cruiser once I get a bit more sorted out on it.
