Travel Bremen: What to do and where to go! | Germany | TravelGretl
Last summer we went to Bremen. To make video's for the tourism board. I love my job :D Because I loved the city and we shot a lot of things we couldn't use in the original videos, I decided to make a video for my channel as well! So is it sponsored? We were here on a paid job, but no one paid me to make this specific video for my own channel, it wasn't part of the deal :) Just to clarify how this video ended up here!
For all information on where to go and what to see, I'll list everything down below.

-WHERE TO SLEEP IN BREMEN-
The hotel we got was right in the heart of town, very close to the marketsquare and böttcherstrasse. I liked it!
► Radisson Blu: www.radissonhotels.com/en-us/...
--WHAT TO SEE AND DO IN BREMEN-
► Go to the Bremer Ratskeller for food and a wine tour! See the oldest cask wine and taste amazing homemade chocolates along the way.
► MUST SEE! The Bremen town hall with the model ships. Very impressive!!! Don't skip this!
► Walk through the böttcherstrasse
► Visit the historical market square with the town musicians statue amonst other things.
► Go to schlachte embankment for a drink or a sunset stroll, or a market
► Get lost in the small lanes of Schnoor - very pretty old neighborhood!
--WHERE TO EAT IN BREMEN-
There are lots of good choices
► Markthalle 8 (markethall 8) is great with lots of food from all over the world. Great variety, very tasty!
► Teestubchen - for an afternoon tea (in schnoor), loved the tea, cakes and the whole ambiance.
► Alexander von Humboldt - dinner on a boat!
► Ratskeller - great dishes and very unique ambiance
► Bremer Bonbon Manufaktur - candystore, see how the candy is made and bring something sweet back home.

This fantastic coverage of the town. I love how they put a lot of effort in conserving the old buildings, preserving the wines, and the tea in tiny cups. Bremen ist schön!
Bremen is Beautiful.
My hometown, beautiful vlog! I also recommend a walk in the „Bürgerpark“, which is near the city central station.

Nice video, Bremen is my place for 4 years! Never get tired of being here🇩🇪
This seems to be a very charming city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!

Look up how the tram network works first. It's the most convenient way of traversing the city, especially now, that cars are beginning to dissapear from the city centre. It's not very complicated, but knowing wich ticket to get, can save you a fair bit of money.
oh my gosh, Bremen is so lovely
My great grandparents left Germany and Slovakia from Bremen in the early 1900s. Hope to visit this town one day.

@Dee Dee "my grandmothers mother migrated from Germany during WW2. Her last name was Otto and my grandmother told me they were from Bremen. I wish I knew more information on her". Take a look at the home page of the emigration center in Bremerhaven. About 7 million people emigrated from Bremerhaven to the USA between 1830 and 1975. I posted the link before, but it was deleted. Good luck and all the best! Greetings from Bremen :-))

After the Zuiderzee was closed-off from the sea in 1932 it became the "IJsselmeer". Among other, the film shows the beautiful old town and the ferry that still runs between Stavoren and Enkhuizen (on the other side of the IJsselmeer). Also a unique rail ferry can be seen that moved goods trains back and forth across the Zuiderzee. Stavoren lies in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is the first town that obtained in 1061 / in 2021 960 years city-rights in the 11th centure by Count Egbert with permission from German emperor Hendrik V. It has only about 1000 inhabitants and is an old "Hanzestad" trading city. Also it is one of the 11 cities of the famous "Elfstedentocht". This is a world-famous skating event which can only be held during harsch winters to ensure an ice thickness of at least 15 cm on all the canals of the route. There is also a well know legend about the (Lady)"Vrouwtje of Stavoren" about a rich silly woman who eventually became poor due to her strange behaviour. Too bad you only show the city center. I've been in Bremen like 10x and there is so much more to see. The Burgerpark, the Rhododendronpark, the Ueberseemuseum. You can also go for long bike rides along the Weser or even swim in the Weser. The port/harbour is also very interesting

Nice video... God bless always... From the 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Sehr gut!
My grandmother - and - my great grandmother who raised me, were both born in Bremen!! We had a charming painted carved wooden miniature carving of the "Brementown musicians" in the living room - and yes, honored and talked about Roland!!! Roland was a great and brave Knight of Emperor Charlemagne ("Karl der Grosze") so he truly IS important, historically! And there is a promise that Christendom will be restored worldwide - so very likely Roland will be part of that beautiful phenomenon.🌹 For many years, German Chocokate, BY LAW, was required to contain 70% cocoa - not a lot of "filler, artificial ingredients & sugar" so that could account for the quality - and fame - of German Chocolate! Guten Appetit!!!💖
