Travel Alaska | MUST SEE Stops along the Glenn and Richardson Highway | Matanuska Glacier + more
We are traveling from Palmer, Alaska to Southeast Alaska, Valdez, which leaves us to explore the Glenn Highway and the Richardson Highway as we make our way towards Valdez, Alaska. We've planed to visit some of the MUST SEE stops along this route because there are plenty to choose from. As we travel Alaska towards Valdez we stopped to admire the Matanuska Glacier from the road and the Lionshead Trail, to get some better views from above. Then we ended our night by making some of the most interesting but yummy chili we've ever made. We drove the through the snowiest area in Alaska and saw another glacier until we drove through the stunning Keystone Canyon.
Come join us as we explore wonderful Alaska and dive into what there is to do on the way to Valdez. If you aren't already subscribed, make sure to subscribe to follow along for all of our adventures as we Explore Alaska, the Last Frontier.

Here is a thankful comment that I could make on any of your videos: Thanks for all the maps that you include in your videos. I really enjoy following along this way, and learning about the routes and geography of the land. The maps are a big help in orientating me for the scenes in your videos. Thanks for your production excellence :)

Thank you for the kind words! I am so glad that you find the maps helpful :)
I've never had bear meat; but, I have had venison/deer and love it. I've been told by one of my uncles who has had bear meat - that it is a bit gamey like venison and that the taste varies by season. Eg a bear coming out of hibernation will be more tender and taste milder than a bear that has been active and moving around for months. Yes, the days are getting shorter. Where we are in southern Ontario, the sun is setting between 8 & 8:30 pm - a sure sign that we're near the end of summer. There will be a full moon on Aug 30-31. It's an extra one that we don't normally get so it has been called the Blue Moon. This will make the night a little brighter. Maybe it will appear brighter where you are if the air is clear.

Yes it definitely depends on season as well as if they eat fish or berries. The ones that eat berries are supposed to be better. Summer is definitely coming to an end!
Very nice video, enjoyed it a lot! It is a great reminder of our rv trip to Alaska a few years ago.

So pretty! Definitely some bucket list spots 🤩
How did the berries taste? I remember one of the best days on my backpacking trip in the Adirondacks was when we came across wild blackberries. We ate a ton and picked two gallon zip bags worth to take with us. We took turns holding the bags so the berries would not get crushed in anybody's backpack. We made pancakes with them the next morning for breakfast. We did see bears that day. They also wanted the berries.

They were really good! And yes in a bag that get squished so have to be careful but that’s awesome!
Great job editing the video, you just keep getting better!! Have you done any suspension upgrades to the truck? Just wondering how it handles the back roads. Thanks again for the wonderful video.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback and kind words! We did a Carli Backcountry leveling kit with 2.0 Fox Shocks all around and added leafs in the rear. On top of that we have airbags (loadlevel 5000) but we never use them. We have a rear hellwig bigwig sway bar too which is amazing!
