You lead an interesting life for sure, I used to be a sexton, and dug and buried about 2,000 graves a year, and i know where some treasure is buried. The vaults are sealed, so it would be hard to rob one, and I would have never disturbed anyone. I got hurt pretty bad on the job and now I just hang out. Extremely Frustrating, right? Calling everything, "garbage" without even looking into the box, not moving anything out of the box, it makes no sense to me. Like you say, if it looks clean and it's all loaded for you, just take it by the box full. Donate what's left over.

I think he has to make quick decisions to keep a steady pace going. He knows the amount of area he wants to cover and can't afford to get bogged down in so many little things.

At 17:18 there is a vintage gun rack that’s been painted! I only know that because I’ve sold one of those before. Stay safe and be well, Taco!

Been watching a lot of your videos for a while, and it reminded me of what I used to do back in the early forties during the war. The folks counted every cent, because they were just coming out of the depression and money was very tight, and wages low! It was a good way for me to get returnable pop and milk bottles, so I had some money to go to the movies and get some pop corn and candy. Christmas time was nice, because old toys were thrown out for the new ones kids got. All my brother and I got were the necessary things like stockings, pants and a shirt. The folks didn't have an excess of money, so doing what I did, kept my folks from giving me house money. I'm 82 and just shudder at what a wasteful Nation we have now. I think more people have to get a taste of being needy. I have found some really good stuff over the years, and eyeball peoples trash as I go by.

Thank you for your memory. I'm an older 1 on the channel just turned the big 60. I remember going to the land fill with my grandpa we would find all kinds of treasure.

I totally agree with people WASTING so much money & especially throwing perfectly good, usable things that someone else could put to good use!! I’ve been watching videos like this for a year & have learned sooooo much. I’m on permanent disability for serious lung disease (I’m 51) & money is tight. I started buying things cheap at estate sales, Goodwill & selling for more. I recently started taking things from the trash & recently found AWESOME vintage bottles & have already made $30 & it made me very happy that by taking 10 minutes to putting the milk crate of 12 bottles in the car & cleaning them that I could give them new life for a collector & money for myself!! I’m also keeping a few that are extra awesome! Also, in the 70’s my parents let me have the pop bottles & I would take them to the store & the money I got paid for me to go to the movies!!

I love this comment! I started dumpster diving a few years ago and have found wonderful things!! Our society has become very wasteful, my friends scoff at me when I mention diving! I've found a cedar chest, art, NEW make up items, household cleaning items and a few weeks ago a small case of gain dish soap because one of them was damaged and leaked soap in the box. I make a good living but had some debt I curtailed because diving helped me save. I just wish I would've been doing this 10 to 15 years ago.

Hi Please remember those 4 cool mid century drawer handles off the metal cabinet 3:57 before it's discarded. 60.00 on eBay and so easy to ship. When you find something good it's exciting for us too.

Taco we would love for you to walk us through what happens to the stuff you pick up. ie show us how to do scrap metal. Where to take it, how much it can pay out, etc.

Its worth keeping nice baskets in good condition. You can fill them with artificial flowers from storage containers etc & they will sell.

I am blown away by the amount of junk thrown out at curb. We would have by-law knocking on our door if we put out stuff like that.

Yes my cat knows the sound of my car and jumps in the window or is sitting at the door when I open it. So I'm sure Salsa can hear the truck coming down the drive way

I learned that dogs do not know time in relation to how long you have been gone a minute same as an hour for how they miss you but they can tell all kinds of things through hearing and scent. They know the sound of your vehicle and hear it far away.

I noticed when you pick up and look at glass item you end up liking. But you leave boxes/bins full of glassware that you don't look through. Keep in mind many extremely small pieces of glassware can be very valuable. You definitely left some valuable glass behind.

I am a sub to your channel but I just want to say that a lot of the times I watch you at a site like this one in the alleyway, (with all the glassware and the couch) and I always feel so frustrated that you are not more thorough, just picking the top stuff and moving on. Drives me crazy not knowing what else were in those boxes and bags!

Buy some white, red, and black spray paint. When you see metal stuff you can sell, such as that large cabinet you found, sand it down and spray paint it, you would get more for that, than scrap value. But you mention that you use that van all day long - you have another job somewhere?

I.am surprised, you didn't take those metal stair/plant shelves . Was this after Christmas lots of toys.

Pick up tin cans worth less than pennies and leave a wood gun rack. How many people will pay a couple bucks to put that up in their garage or cabin...

Dude! You missed opportunities for some inventory there. Some of the boxes full of decent, 'clean' stuff. I am always amazed at what sells at my local market (or garage sale). The things I think are plain junk, people actually pay money for. I don't mean to be negative, but it is extremely annoying hearing you say "garbage" without even looking into a bag or attempting to look through a box even (this was the most frustrating). Like others have mentioned, just take the boxes (13-14 minutes in), load them up, it looks like its all 'clean' stuff, donate whatever doesn't sell. Could probably make an extra $50 at the flea from $1 sales. You may well find some AMAZING stuff. Just today I looked through a box of old kitchen 'junk', paperwork, utensils, old kitchen bags and found an old 1979 Phantom novelty Ring inside the box. It was very out of place but the last one sold for over $200, they are very rare. So you never know what you will find!
