The pigeons are taking a bath. It's necessary for them and that's why they are standing and pooping in their water tub. For my pigeons (rollers and racing homers), I have a bathing tub separate from their drinking water (though they don't always distinguish between the two as they still drink from their bath water). Their bathing tub doesn't get changed daily, but their drinking water does. To help keep them healthy, I add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar daily, and a teaspoon of pro-biotic every other day. I add avian bath salts to their bath water every time I change it. If you don't want your pigeons pooping in their drinking water, get them a waterer that they can't stand in.

I enjoyed this video of multiple days of trapping. The video satisfies the thought of "how is the trapping going?" for another few weeks. Thanks.

Fyi.... Most of those poultry waterers are the same thread as glass canning jars,, some instant coffee jars and probly many others. That might get you going in a pinch or full time. If you make your own I'd recommend a cheap rubbermaid or ziplock bowl and waight it with a rock or such and put holes they can only get Thier heads in to drink Yes like these videos and look forward to see you use the birds on your new dog

As for loft water.... I know most poultry take to nipple waterers well.... If pigeons would you could make a setup fairly cheap.

Get five gallon buckets and drill 2 inch holes around it about 2 inches from bottom of bucket to bottom of drilled hole, fill with water, put lid on, no poop in water, BUT leave the big open water pans also as pigeons love to take baths to keep the oil in their feathers spread and clean . Put several of those buckets out for fresh water, PS they work great for feeders to have less feed waste! Oh and I'd use some silicone to fix the crack in your trap waterer!

Pigeons will use open water containers to bath in, as they need to bath when not outside in the rain specially when it’s hot. Also you need more perches in your pen, love the videos keep up the good work.

Hey man, I have a solution for your water source issues. there is a great company called "rent a coop" and I have been using their products. They have these auto fill water cups that you can attach to a 5 gallon bucket. super clean and super easy. I also have some other tips for you that I have found to make things easier if youd like to know.

I know some of them are bonny birds, but why keep so many; after all they are just flying rats- with loads of diseases- so wear a mask when cleaning out. Better still take an air pistol when trapping. But as there are some "sensitive" people out there don't show that bit. Bag them up and incinerate. The pigeons I mean!!!
