Warner Bros. Pictures presents a new experience in the world of M. Night Shyamalan-“Trap” -featuring performances by rising music star Saleka Shyamalan.
A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.
Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, “Trap” stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill. The film is produced by Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and M. Night Shyamalan. The executive producer is Steven Schneider.
The director of photography is Sayombhu Mukdeeprom (“Call Me by Your Name”). The production designer is Debbie de Villa (“The Hating Game”). It is edited by Noëmi Preiswerk and the music is by Herdĭs Stefănsdŏttir (“Knock at the Cabin”). The music supervisor is Susan Jacobs (“Old”); the costume designer is Caroline Duncan (“Old”). The casting is by Douglas Aibel (“Asteroid City”).

    It's still not 100% he's the butcher. Maybe it's his daughter. Maybe he knows who the butcher is and doesn't want him caught because he wants revenge. Maybe he has another reason to sabotage the trap. There is gonna be a twist and I think it's kinda too obvious if Hartnett is the butcher. Or maybe we find out that he is a dexter type killer and only kills other serial killers.

    Josh Hartnett is always amazing in everything hes in. The Faculty, 40 Days and 40 Nights, Thirty Days of Night, Penny Dreadful, Sin City, Lucky Number Sleven, and even in his pretty small role in The Bear. And he always seems to pick really interesting roles. I think he could have been a much bigger star, but just decided to keep being in stuff that he was genuinely interested in.

    Unbreakable was fine and so was Split, although I guess I am in the minority with that because the only reason people hyped off that film was when they realized it tied into the first film with the end twist (Nobody talked about anything else in the film but that). Glass was the inferior of three but not terrible to me.

    The Entire point of the Concert would be to lure him in. Profiling murderers is a science atp so it's likely they'd have a profile/idea of the Killer's mindset. So they likely new he would most likely be in the concert. However they don't know who he is specifically

    I'm calling it now. Josh Hartnett's character has already trapped the killer at home (seen on his phone camera). Josh Hartnett is NOT the killer, but the real killer did something personal to him and he took matters into his own hands (street justice).

    I've heard a lot of theories behind this movie, regardless of which one you believe M. Night Shyamalan will definitely have some sort of shock reveal. He might have a third or fourth twist ready and waiting for us. Like a secret cult, aliens, etc. It's probably going to be crazy, I just hope he can pull it off. Also the music in that first trailer was amazing, wow.

    @@Atomykpimp I heard that one too, but his daughter's already in the movie singing to make her the killer would be too much. I honestly hope that there's something deeper going on like a monster. I just don't know how the father is going to kill people in a busy concert stadium filled with tons of people and cameras. Maybe he's got supernatural powers? If he covering for his daughter then will she be the one killing people secretly? I have no idea what might happen at this point, lol.

    I've loved Josh Hartnett ever since Black Hawk Down. So excited to see him in a leading role as the villain no less. M Night has done some wacky stuff, but this looks like a solid no-nonsense thriller.

    When I watched the first trailer I was sure is was misleading the viewer and that Josh Hartnetts character was the one setting the trap but now after watching this trailer I wonder if the big twist is that there is no twist and the trailer is being truthful which is a departure from how trailers are cut nowadays.
