Ah, excellent! As an engineer I love those heavy duty engine sounds of pure power. I saw vehicles like Blue Moose at Kennedy airport when I was growing up. They'd move the big toys like 747's, DC-10's, and such. Sofi, thanks for this nice little break to my day.

I remember when Aza and I got to visit when it was in the first warehouse with the turret off. It's come a long way since then. Thank you Sofi. He would have loved to see this happen for his favorite tank. I appreciate you, and the NACC crew.
It was a highlight of my young life to see this Tiger at Aberdeen. At the time it was displayed outdoors. My parents were impressed when we were chatting with the museum curator and I asked about the sheet metal panels on the side. He explained about the Tiger being cut up for training purposes.
There is a simple beauty in all the hard work that goes into not just the care, but the movement of the Tiger to its new home. A well-choreographed precision mechanical dance of sorts. All done with a piece of history. Thanks for the video!
That is SO impressive looking!! Seeing it from the front is mind blowing! I don''t mind that some famous tanks are cut-aways now. You can see inside what you NEVER can see even at a first rate museum. The amount of room that gun takes up in the turret is AMAZING.
Poetry in motion 🔥 Great work as always!

Very nice ! Another great video Sofi , keep them Tiger's roll'in ! ✔️😁😎
The fast motion tub engine sounds were crazy sounding.
I am looking with considerable interest at the amount of black rubber left on the concrete apron by the tires. Even though the back part of the trailer has steering tires, the amount of scrub is considerable. If possible, some video footage on that transporter trailer would be interesting. Just how the steering control is done on the movable axles, how the modulation is done. Considerable engineering went into that. At any rate, thanks for the footage.

Tankfest 24-26th June at Tank Museum, Dorset, UK anyone? Can't freaking wait 🇬🇧 Great content out here, thank you.
Thanks Sofi, great to see the articulation in the Tiger's suspension, & the power required to move it, no wonder in WW2 anyone would struggle with a damaged Tiger! Those guys moving it make it look so easy!
@timonsolus
2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. The recovery and towing vehicles available to the Wehrmacht were much less powerful and sophisticated than today’s equivalents. Recovering damaged Tigers was a nightmare - often 2 other Tigers had to be used to tow one with an inoperable engine.
@eze8970
2 жыл бұрын
I think they were ordered NOT to tow a Tiger with a Tiger, due to the likely hood of breaking the towing Tigers engine/transmission. Good reason why so many were abandoned/destroyed by own side.
Another good straightforward production. Feel the ground shaking !!
I remember seeing it at Aberdeen Proving Ground Museum in the 1970's.It's great that the tracks and wheels operate now . Another early model Tiger like the famous 131 . I think the two holes for the driver episcope , above the driver slding viewport, is a rare, early , feature
Beautiful video of this Tiger tank, a beast of a war machine! Keep it up Sofilein!
Thank you Sofi I finally know what the last 3 numbers of service number meant.
Classy intro! The tiger in the background is the icing on the cake

You should restore the turret and side section to it’s original state like that of Tiger 131 at Bovington England.
Great content. It's nice to see you posting more video's and keeping history alive. Keeping pushing fren.
I have never seen a tank loaded on a trailer before. That was pretty cool. Thanks
She is gorgeous and so is that tank!
I really love the tiger 1 , sad its been cut up like that, but still a great peace of tec from ww2
Ah, the beauty of heavy metal in motion. And the diesel fumes is just icing on the cake. Wish I could had been there. Thanks, Tank Gal.
That truck and trailer deserve its own Tamiya model.
That’s just straight up beautiful love these tanks

@@Sofilein Pure sadism by me- whenever you see a Tiger, you will think of this song. Not quite as bad as "The Mentalist", whispering to one "I just put a dead mouse in your pocket", and when the guy jumped and screamed, he told him "it was just a handkerchief, but it doesn't matter. You can throw away the jacket, you will always think of the smell of the rotting corpse". Ernie Ford is nicer... It even rhymes and even the number of syllables fit. My uncle drove a Panther on the eastern front. One of the only stories I remember was that he was shot down, crawled from the the battlefield back to the command post to report "we have been put out of action, commander and gunner are dead" - "is the tank still able to drive?" - "I think so" - "Then what are you doing here??! Go and get it!". So he crawled back, and reversed the Panther from the battleground.
This is why I like Ms Sofilein's content it's always so interesting you never know what's next thanks for all of the awesome content ma'am
So nice to see your video's. I am enjoying your perspective on these awesome pieces of history!
Great cutaway view of a great tank! Great video 👍
They claim that the T2's anti-aircraft gun (88) could still knock out an A1 Abrams. My grandfather fought in the Arden's in 1945 and told me a story (57 years ago) that he watched a T2 take out 3 Shermans with one shot. That's just a sick amount of fire power!
You remind me so much of my little brother . Keep the dream alive ❤
The Tiger Tank is a beautiful piece of machinery ☘
That tank transporter is just about as cool as the Tiger.
Thank you Sofi!
Thanks, Sofilein!
Rehoming an old Kitty to help it find it's purr again is such a kind effort 🥰
Thank you so much for this. Awesome to see the big kitty restored and going to it's new home. Looking forward to the next video on it.
Thanks Sofi, another great video.
Awesome! Thanks
Wow! It's great that more people will be able to see it now. And the cutaway definitely adds to the teaching ability of the tank. That HET is graceful; it reminds me of the hippo ballerinas in "Fantasia."
Early model Panzer VI. Cutaway there to show the Krupp 88mm cannon, which was fired electrically. The Tiger was advanced for its day, which is why it spent so much time broken down by the side of the road lol!
What an incredible video. Thank you for sharing it !!
Awesome. Thankyou.
That move went smoothly! Thanks Sofi!
That HET is a beast! Looks like the tires turn with the truck to help it get around tight curves. Very cool! 😁😎
Oooohhhh....see the Panther in the background. oddly enough, I used to put up displays in this facility at Sand Hills back in the day when I worked for the Infantry School. Like to see the Harmony Church facility sometime in the future.
Fascinating stuff.
Wow,good job,that thing is a wee beastie!
Please keep this up. Thanks
Looks like an interesting cutaway!
Sofi, you such a pleasure. Just a cool Comrade in tank history
Maybe they can hire the Aussies from The Australian Armor @ Artillery Museum to fix those big holes in the side.

It looks like you could eat off of it, what an amazing job they're doing on it!
Well deserved restoration! Can't wait for the next video, I wanna know everything! 😁
I’d love to see the deuce and a half they talked about, or the HET, or maybe the truck version of the MaxPro
Dang! That's some heavy transporting. Not too high speeds but momentum way out there with that mass! Always impressive.
Makes the airfix tiger look accurate
Great video
Very good sound the detroit v6 of the Pay Mover T300..
@2:38 a few buckets of soapy water would help 🤣
Even by todays standards, the Tiger is still a beast. It's not that different in appearance to some others. Slap on a sloping or ERA armour package and it could pass as an MBT. Just classic lines and a real design icon. Heavy metal as it should be.
Right on
Rockin it gurl
Very nice, I will paint my 1/8 Tiger in exactly that color. Beautiful!
And a cutaway Panther waiting in the background.
Hopefully they plan to add the turret bin, exhaust etc? Too bad they cut them up back in the day.
What a stubborn old Gal. Getting all yanked around like that. Keep fighting the good fight tiger 1. Dont take no shit.
Now all that's missing is a plastic plate in front of the cut-out holes in the many tank models, so that they don't get dirty again so quickly.
Im putting these on twitter 👍👍👍
No donuts, or drag races? Cool documentation of the move.
Imagine that that 80years ago these beasts had to be moved by trucks that were invented only 20-30 years prior
I hope they can get this back into working order. 💪
thks
I'm so jealous of the fact that you get to do stuff with the M1070 and M1000 HETS. Like ive said before, I am building a 1/35th scale model of one and I need reference pictures.

What a chunk this tank is. It always boggles my mind to think that they build vehicles like this 80 years ago.
this is really interesting content especially the interviews with vets. I couldn't get into the twitch channel I felt like it was just farming attention without much in the way original content.
Didn't realize the footage was sped up at first and thought "what the hell are they doing to that engine"
A lot of Detroit Diesel 2 stroke Power in this Video!!💪💪😜😜
Wow chick you did that !! Thank you for the vid! Check out tiger tracks and Kessel panther great books

It is great that this Tiger has finally been transported to it's new home! Of course like many of us has lamented about the chopped side but I guess you can't everything but it is look after. A dumb question: what happened to the engine, was it also chopped for display for training? Good job 👍 👏

Hi Paolo! We still have the engine! Unfortunately a few components from the engine, like the magnetos, seem to have gone missing during the Tigers time in Europe, but most of it is intact and currently in storage. Eventually we will pull it out and get it fixed up either to go back into the tank or be on display by it.
