i rarely play games like this and i never watch content on games like this, but this series just popped up in my recommendations and just out of curiousity I clicked on in. I've been binge watching this serie all day and I'm loving it. Don't think I'll play it myself any time soon cuz i dont have that kind of patience, but for now i'll just enjoy watching you play it. Regarding the buses, I tend to position stops based on the land use, make sure people can catch the bus from residential to industrial and commercial. I also start smaller, with maybe 2-3 buses on each line, so you don't have buses just running empty.

This is the most addicted i’ve been to a youtube series in a long time. keep up the good work, the upload schedule is amazing!

Any easy way to do the clockwise/anticlockwise circuit in every city is to plop the bus stops on both sides of the street and then route like this: Main bus hub -> stop 1 -> stop 2 -> stop 3 -> Main bus hub -> stop 3 -> stop 2 -> stop 1 Saves you from having multiple lines in each city clogging up charts and replacing vehicles is less time consuming.

Loving it!!!! Just a helper, if you need to delete a street but it wants to delete the house on it, simply plop down a cross road close to the house and it will create a node and then delete the road you wanted which will leave the house in tact, then delete your new road :)

I am learning so many tips from watching this series, I realized that I am basically brute forcing my way through the game. I think I’ll start another map and be a bit more surgical on it.

I like how the bus lanes are run at a loss to improve the cities and help the cargo trains make more money. I believe there is a lesson to be learned here about public transport and why it should be subsidized.

Public transportation has no tie in to the thousands of transportation companies like it does in this game where you're the only company doing anything with no competition and no need to specialize into a niche. Probably shouldn't try to let a video game influence public policy

Still a great series. I am really interested in what you are doing with planes later on. So please keep it up.

You can have trains longer than your platform. Length only matters when it comes to how many resources are waiting

This series is awesome! Ive always wanted to play a game like this but never have because it overwhelms me at the beginning and I cant ever get started right but you explain how you do everything and why you do it so well it makes me wanna give it another go! Awesome work keep it up I dont think ive binge watched a series so quick in my life lol

in my experience busses can be profitable by nearly as much as 40k and most of the time they are just at half capacity. maybe its because i don’t play on hard but i think its possible. i just look at the line statistics bottom right and if the bus line realizes losses i sell the busses each on its own until profit is made. also on a line like romsey i would put double the stations down like 8 in shorter increments

I'm a Veteran of this game and I still learned some different ways to do certain things. I do wish they were longer, something like an hour (similar to Squirrel Plus channel). Just a thought, thx

there desperately needs to be a mod that places roads and rails out according to the terrain with a slider to adjust how much it's allowed to dig through or build up the ground. so lowest level it will snake a road using the absolute minimum land deformation and the highest level will be the perfectly straight roads we have in the game now.

There's a contour line overlay you can enable, and pressing m/n when laying tracks/roads lowers or raises the middle of the laying. You can also press on the arrow at the end of whatever you're laying and it'll open the option to raise/lower the end.

@@samuelginting3213 there's a mod to have parallel rails automatically built, when the game makes it really simple and easy to make them already, so it wouldn't be too surprising

Paul, have you noticed the missing signals on the alcohol-food rail line? Shows clearly when you are showing the bus route in Thatcham. Might avoid some head scratching when you add another train on that line 😉. Loving the series, looking forward to the rest, thanks again and keep up the awesome work.

I've made profit on buses straight up on a new map but I'll admit I was playing medium difficulty. Just got the game on Xbox Series X. Never played it before the console release. This series is a good resource of tips.

Thank you for showing these tips. I was interested in this game, since back in the day, i loved Transport Tycoon, and i thought this game might be similar to it. And ooops.... it is beyond similar, and so i am already addicted to it.

At 3:23 I looks as if most of the traffic in Romsey is through traffic, or traffic to other cities nearby. There is this one road with two digit number connecting the intercity roads.

When I do longer bus lines, I reverse half the busses coming out of the depot. That really helps space them out quicker.

I found that trams work really well early game, they are faster, have more capacity, and last longer, you can also run less of them to do the same amount a bus would. especially on longer routes where that speed can come into play

Im using trams too. And for me it seems to be more profitable, or say it like this: they seems to get easier into making profit, at least for me in the most circumstances. And they seem to have less emissions. And i barely use intercity busses. Trains seems to be the far better way, even if there is only one, Not fully filled. In short time, when there is at least one citydemand is served, i normally can put at least a second train in and get into big Profit.

Should have made a bypass around Thatcham for cars that are only passing.

Just a idear for future episodes would be to use the crocodiles to take as much as possible to a over sized storage area out side the main city's ware u can instantly link into the city infrastructure and give them even more of a boost

your train can be longer than your platforms and it still loads and unloads the whole thing fine even if it doesn't fit on the platform

Just make sure that the train isn't hanging out past the junction...

I’ve been playing on ur map with ur mods (and a few more) with hard mode and got 1bill just need to connect the last few city’s at the top of the map.

Money doesn't grow on trees but apparently does in fields

my bus lines get me $50000+. I've never had them run at a loss, other than the first year as people first use them

Double check that your bus lines don't share platforms

Looking at the earlier videos, I had no idea that you didn't have to move products directly to their destination. I mean, I didn't know you could move them to a truck station first.

I wonder if the cs2 formula works in this game: (bus stops + people waiting at stops)/bus capacity

The train can be longer than the platform no problem.
